Anyone from Depomoto based in the killcool ind estate on here? I'm posting this because I'm not calling you or sending you an email because I'm not sure I want you to have either.
How come I had two of your business cards tucked under my fuel caps this morning? That's that's the sort of carry on I'd expect from a certain traveling minority. They come back and collect later.

Care to explain? Or was it a mate of yours perhaps that I live near?

Either way, go feck right off and leave my bikes alone.

Jun 18, 2018 - 10:33 PM - by Sleazy Rider
Ryan Hat-Trick extends Dunlop Masters Superbike Championship lead

Richie Ryan tightened his grip on the Dunlop Masters Superbike Championship with another hat-trick of wins on the Mondello Park National Track over the weekend of June 16th and 17th. The Kilkenny rider was pushed hard by Waterford's Peter Moloney and Ballymena's Luke Johnston but still increased his 2018 tally of Superbike wins to nine. In Supersport the returning Jason Lynn, from Maghera, showed his class as he took three dominant victories over the championship regulars.

Ryan's Mobil-1 backed Yamaha started from pole for race one on Saturday and led from start to finish, in an unusually uneventful race, to take the win from Moloney and Johnston, with Mullingar's James Kelly fourth to equal... [Read More]

Anyone got any experience of these type of visor or insert?

Is there any DIY equivalent that I can stick to the outside of the visor and could be disposable? The idea being that the visor itself is protected by the exterior film but also that the film gets full effect of UV color change without the UV filter or the visor limiting its affect.

» Bike needs some fixes - how difficult?
Jun 18, 2018 - 9:16 AM - by maxjam
So got the bike checked out.
Pitting on the stanchion tubes - both need replacing and will need new fork seals too.

Clutch needs replacing, as in a whole kit.

how doable are both of these jobs on your own - or should they be left to the professionals? bearing in mind that the alternative costs of getting the parts and labour will be pretty damn close to the worth of the bike itself an NT650V 1999

» MotoGP: MotoGP Catalunya: Crash down to riding over the limit - Dovizioso
Jun 17, 2018 - 9:20 PM - by Admin
Andrea Dovizioso said that a mistake whilst riding over the limit was the cause of his crash in Barcelona.

The Italian rider lost the front end at turn five and crashed out whilst trying to stay with the leading duo of Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez. Dovizioso was quick to quash the idea that he was chasing Lorenzo and that is why he crashed out.

“It was not about Jorge, it’s about that I want to win the race,” said Dovizioso. “I had good speed and we have to gain the points to Marc. Marc was there. So I was pushing. I didn’t want to give up.

“My speed in the race wasn’t good enough. I was losing one, almost two-tenths a lap. But when the grip is very low, one or two tenths can be like one-second. So I was... [Read More]

World Championship leader Marc Marquez said that he was focused on finishing the race after losing the front end of his RC213V on the same lap Andrea Dovizioso crashed out.

Marquez crashed out of the last round in Mugello and after seeing Andrea Dovizioso crash out and losing the front end of his Honda himself, he decided he would take the twenty points and race with the title in mind.

“My strategy was clear, just trying to be really focused on the start and to take the... [Read More]

Podium man Josh Brookes admits he had to play the odds in his last-lap, last-corner attempt to pass Leon Haslam for the second race win today.

McAMS Yamaha’s sole race finisher nearly had the race won after converting his outside move at Coram into an inside pass at the final corner, Murray’s, but missed out by less than a tenth of a second after he and Haslam tangled.

» Thinking about changing bikes but need some advice
Jun 17, 2018 - 2:09 PM - by pritchi83
Hello all!

I currently have a 2010 Ducati Multi Strada 1200s which I use to go in and out of work I'm Dublin everyday. At the moment I don't go on any big rides with it or do anything else than ride it into work.

I might be able to get my hands on a BMW S1000rr HP4 but before I do I need to test ride one and I also just wanted to check and see if anyone has made a similar change and if they had any advise. I am commuting about 40km everyday. How comfy is the S1000rr?

» 2t piston ring gap orientation
Jun 16, 2018 - 12:38 PM - by scudster
I’m rebuilding a gas gas txt pro 250 at the moment. I’m about to refit the cylinder but I’m not 100% sure at what orientation the ring gaps should be.
It’s a 2 ring piston which makes me think I should have the gaps opposing each other at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions so as not to be travelling over the inlet and exhaust ports which would be in the 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock positions respectively.
Would I be right in thinking this or am I totally wrong?

Jun 16, 2018 - 12:51 AM - by HurricaneDream
Now im pretty sure i have wrecked my clutch, but i am no mechanic.

So i was being ever so slightly autistic this evening and decided to attempt the art of wheelies, with this i made some progress and was very happy with myself.

Move to a new location as i realised i was doing it under a garda security camera (limerick have them don't know about elsewhere) and got a few small ones in all of a sudden in first and second and the rest of the gears act is as if they were in natural.

So in the pissing rain with my friend beside me we check if it's the clutch cable by loosening it with the hope it may have been to tight.

It didn't work...

So is it fecked?

Can roll backwards in first and secound

Mate of mine failed his his test today, I read his feedback form provided by the rsa, lack of progress (insufficient speed)and not “getting up and down thru the gears”, I know him him to be a good steady cautious driver, granted he lacks experience but who didn’t when learning to ride? Test done in Dublin with heavy traffic as schools emptied, every 2nd fucking ad on tv is the rsa telling us all to slow down, then he fails his test for not driving fast enough in built up residential area with kids milling about? Can’t really win eh?

Jun 15, 2018 - 1:30 PM - by Admin
Glenn Irwin picked up the baton of Be Wiser Ducati team leader and ran with it, as he set the pace in today’s first Bennetts British Superbike Championship practice at Snetterton.

Irwin clocked a hot lap of 1’48.051s on his final run around the Norfolk track this morning, as the series returned from its six week break.

The riders were greeted with hot sunshine and track temperatures of around 37 degrees as they headed out for the opening session just before 10.30am.

Richard Cooper, James Ellison and Jake Dixon spent the opening 15 minutes swapping places at the top, as the times quickly tumbled.

With 15 minutes gone, JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s Leon Haslam became the first rider to hit the 1’48s, quickly followed by... [Read More]

Iv check all the obvious things like connections etc.

It has a Meta alarm on the bike, normally I turn the key to middle, click the button on the alarm fob, a sound comes from the alarm and I can start the bike.

The alarm sound isn't happening when I click the button, but the light is coming on the fob so I know the battery in the fob is ok.
