» Negotiating with UK dealers
Jan 23, 2019 - 2:35 PM - by discoblade

I'm thinking of going UK-wards for bike shopping, mostly because you can't get a Tuono V4 in Ireland...

Question is, has anyone any experience of buying 2nd hand from UK dealers? Are they generally open to a discount for a cash deal?

» Kit for scrawny mate starting out?
Jan 23, 2019 - 9:32 AM - by bandit_eile
Hi all, I've a scrawny mate starting out on bikes, dong the I B T equivalent in NI. He's looking for some second hand kit to get going: jocks, pants, boots, gloves, maybe a back protector. Willing to pay fairly for it.

Thing is, he's a size 30 waist, 8 in boots and S on top. So it is actually quite awkward to find second hand kit that fits. Would anyone have anything stuck in an attic that they might be willing to part with?

Thanks lads

why the fuck is it that everytime i go to rebuild something i lose or forget to order that small little kunt of a diddlycumquat that fits under the hooblyjooble and the whole fookin thing grinds to a halt untill some poor sod over in the depths of the uk goes rooting thru boxes of shite for one of them things that nobody else ever fookin needs or orders in order to send it over to me by some mental postage/courier who costs six times the price of the part and takes the short route via bloody capetown and botany bay to get it to me sometime this fookin year.

I had hopes with the introduction of fines and points for those idiots that decide using a mobile phone is a good idea while driving that the gardai would take the issue of mobile phones and use of apps while driving seriously.

Well it seems they have, but not in the way we would expect.

Gardaí in Co Limerick have launched a new text alert system which specifically allows drivers from a fleet of signed-up companies to report any suspicious activity they may witness in rural areas.

Unbelievable. truly it is.

Jan 22, 2019 - 9:31 AM - by Frankkilty
Insurance renewal time again. End of January. Bad time to be renewing. The spare cash fund is always a bit low after Christmas.

Before I go ringing around, anyone know if I can get a policy for 6 months? That way I could change my renewal to a better time of the year like June/July?

Jan 20, 2019 - 9:51 PM - by bandit12
A little poem about cagers Based on a true story

Cagers cagers every where
they will just drive across you
they just don't care
I see some on the phone in
a world of their own
doing there best to stop
me going home
Met one today on a
nice country road
Low and behold on my
side of the road
she was fixing her hair
whilst using the phone
and drifting across to
my side of the road
I dropped her a gear
and onto the verge
Around the cage sideways

» Best Bike for 2 up in Comfort ?
Jan 19, 2019 - 12:38 AM - by Holy Moly
As much as I hate suggestion requests...
Looking for idea on best comfort 2up bike that I'd be more than happy to take out by myself for a spin. I'm tall and she's small, so she can't see over my head, generally she pops her head over my shoulder. I've a triumph trophy 900 that doesn't cut the mustard, need a much higher seat for the Mrs. Now she'd also like a backrest, elbow rests and a heater (I also suggested a hob to cook me lunch but that didn't go down well). Backrest can be taken care of with a top box, the rest can get fucked.
The obvious ones are BMW K LT's, goldwing, newer Trophy etc .. To me the K1300 GT type bike and maybe the newer Trophy fit. But is there any left field... [Read More]

I'm gonna leave my house at 7am to queue up 10km from my house to arrive at 9am. Cages, cages and more cages everywhere you look or go. Getting pissed off filtering for the 10km to pass all them cages. Why won't they get out of them cages. Is there really that much pleasure in queuing up for ages. Nothing else is an option, just being a cager.
