OXFORD Advanced Heated Grips

Just bought a set of OXFORD Advanced Touring Heated Grips ( Latest Model )... from Bray Honda, at a very good in shop price , at 89 euro, they were 115 in Ballymount.....So if you are looking for a set before the freezing temperatures hit , you could give them shout....

Re: OXFORD Advanced Heated Grips

Had them on the Africa Twin. Worked well. Only problem was the glue came unset on the clutch side. Well known problem. Loads of different advice on what glue to use,,,blah,blah,blah...

Only glue that worked for me was 99c super glue from local £shop.

Nice touch that they automatically switch off after 30 seconds (I think)

Re: OXFORD Advanced Heated Grips

Installed those on the wife's bike and she would swear that it's the best thing since sliced bread. Never had any issues with them and this time of the year she uses them on 1000% turbo mode. Not sure how she's not melting gloves and her hands but hey... what ever makes her happy :)

Would the advanced ones be any better in terms of reliability? Have a set of premium ones for the last two years and the left grip has failed (plus is badly worn). Torn between switching to the advanced or just trying another brand

Really too early for me to give you an answer on that, but the ADVANCED Model is the new generation, they 're improving every year. they have to because of warranty replacement..........:thumbsup 2:

My controller went on the advanced ones just after warranty expired so I contacted oxford and they replaced it out of good will.

With these, absolute god send. The days of grabbing the exhaust every 10 mins just to get some feeling back long gone.

Re: OXFORD Advanced Heated Grips

Thanks

Yeah I think I'll need to dish out for the heated gloves in the near future instead on relying on the grips. Much better job

Re: OXFORD Advanced Heated Grips

Just got the Premium Adventure from Sportsbikeshop for €60. Fitted Sunday but yet to try out.

I've heard nothing but good reports about these, so hoping for a nice 'brisk' day to put 'em to the test!

Re: OXFORD Advanced Heated Grips

Quick run out today, just as far as Roundwood. Amazing. Warm hands.... actually had to turn the heat down. Whereas my core was freezing because I didn't plan.
Game changer!
