Default Anyone know their pit bikes?

I'm thinking about buying a new pit bike for messing around on and possibly getting sumo wheels and taking to kiltorcan.

I like the look of the cw bikes muck and fun have, crf style with both dirt and sumo wheels for 1400 anyone have experience with these?

I have also heard nothing but bad news about muck and fun but they have the largest selection... Would I better off going somewhere else like bikeworld?

Would also like recommendations from anyone on here that rides in kiltorcan, what's best... 140 or the bigger 160? Small wheel or big wheel? Cheers.

Have experience of both.

Duck and run and keep running. And yes I can personally back up why.

Loads of shops have the Stomp 140 pit bikes especially coming up to Xmas.

Where you based be a good starting point.

Thought that might of been the case with muck and fun judging by older threads!

Yeah maybe I'll go for a stomp 140 from a decent shop

I'm in Wexford 👍

Great to deal with (says the man who never bought one there)

Me and two buddies had arranged to get them all sent in one lot. They were doing a serious deal and knocking a good chink off. Arse fell out of that though when I bought an expensive pushbike

Thinking of getting into the pitbike racing scene? Was thinking that myself - I wanted to get a race/track bike but we're saving for a house deposit at the mo. . . ran the idea past the war council - no was the answer. I'd need a van and storage, tools and shit loads on tyres etc.

Pitbike racing may be a way for me to get a cheap thrill and have some craic.

Is there any offroad type racing here for that class? Ill never be competitive at 100kg but just want to give it a lash.

Just came across this site - http://www.davecooper.co.uk/bike-racks/motorcycle-racks

Be good if you don't want to go down the route of vans or putting the yoke in the back of a cag - cheap too.

Parcel motel oversize :)

Yeah man, it would defo be a cheaper alternative! I do motocross myself and just looking for something to mess around the house on really but came across stompn at kiltorcan on bookface and it looks like good fun! Don't think there is much off road pit bike racing going on, but I could be wrong!
