Eicma 2019

Some very nice shiny things appearing at the show. It's looking like 2020 will be a very interesting year for bikes with multiple new models from the ground up coming from most of the top marques. Even some not very Harley Harleys.

Personally Really interested to see how the 890 duke R fares and especially the RS660.

Looks like it might be a more fun and usable option for the road with the 270 crank parallel twin over the likes of an R6 or 636 yet still pack enough power for most, hopefully it might bridge the gap between the likes of a 636 and ninja 650.

If the ergo's are right as I'm quite tall it may tempt me to buy.

Harley coming out with some interesting stuff also

Maybe this is the beginning of them coming out with bikes that you won't get laughed at by everyone who doesn't have a harley if you ride one.

Few interesting bikes alright, new fireblade is an absolute peach...really liking the looks and specís on it. Inline 4 kwacker 250....will it have a screaming redline? Rs660 seems a nice middleweight spec too...

Re: Eicma 2019

I see Bimota are bringing out a super-charged Tesi.
Kawasaki engine, apparently the big K now own 49% of them.
Looks wicked, probably a little over my budget though

Showing my age when it's the new V-Strom that's piquing my interest.

Re: Eicma 2019

I went there yesterday... crowded as fooook and Italians just pushing eachother around all day. It was the last day of it though so prob bound to be busy... I was there first thing as well.

I've been to Motorcycle Live a couple of times and I think I prefer it, easier to get around and usually less crowded, less pushing and shoving and easier to get the leg over on the bikes you want.

Threw the leg over most of the new bikes.

The new R1 and R1M tickled my fancy the most, I know theres pretty minor changes over the current model, but seriously comfortable seating position. Fits me like a glove. too bad its €20k/€25k. Way more comfortable than the S1000RR.

The Streetfighter V4 is nice but it sorta looks like theres a load of shit stuck on to it...

That Husqvarna Norden 901 is beautiful in the flesh.

The new Tracer 700 looks pretty cool, I know its basically sporting the lights from the R6 and R1 but I think it looks pretty cool.

The Harley Pan America is a big aul unit... I wouldn't be into it but I'd be interested to see how it fairs on the reviews and test rides.

Threw the leg over the Tenere 700, strangely I didnt find it very comfortable to stand up on, knees were awkwardly hitting off the frame/tank. Standing up on my Tiger 800 feels more comfortable. I'm sure it's better balanced for off road though!

The RS660 is awesome. Shame initial reports from MCN suggesting it could be in the region of £12k... so prob bout €13k for us at least if thats the case!?

Of all the bikes at the show, if I could have taken two home, it would have been the R1M and Toby Price's KTM 450!
