Battery for a Suzuki GSX 550 1982

Needs a new battery and I don't think the one that was in it was the correct spec.

The Google results are shite due to battery adervtisments (that are wrong spec) clogging up the page.

Any recommendations on good value options would be appreciated!

As far as I am aware all the Suzuki bikes at that time used use a YUASA battery

You can use the battery finder here to find out which battery was used on which bikes.
https://www.yuasa.co.uk/

THe GSX 550 1982 according to Yuassa used a YB10L-B battery
https://www.yuasa.co.uk/yb10l-b.html

YB10L-BYumicronYuasa YB10L-B 12V Yumicron Battery
Capacity Ah (20-HR): 11.6
CCA @ -18C: 120
62.68 retail price

Thank you, I was hoping to swap to a sealed alternative and was wondering if anyone had tried one. If all else fails I'll go with that version

Ask at Lee Honda. They will have the catalogue books and be able to tell you all the suitable alternatives as long as you can give them the stock model number. Believe they are still answering the phone even though to shop is closed. Once you know what you want order from their online shop motorcycleshop.ie

I will be changing my battery later this year and will want to upgrade to a lithium battery. They were able to tell me the exact model I needed once I gave the them the model number of the stock battery.

Lithium's only cost 10% to 15% more now so to me it makes sense to make the switch when replacing batteries.

Also found that they were selling at below RRP for the one I wanted, so make sense to support our local shops now especially when Irish businesses are getting hit hard with this virus outbreak.
