3 Ways Motorcycle Manufacturers Trick You

This dudes videos keep popping up on my YT 'why don't ya watch this list?'.
I've never made it past the first couple of minutes of any of his vids because I find him to be a bit irksome. But I thought this was interesting at 04:33 in the morning....

Watched some of his stuff.
He doesn't toe the manufacturers line so I think they lost access to the press bikes.

He definitely has a "style" of his own.

He is right though. Manufacturers feed us constant bullshit, convince us to buy bikes we don't want and stop making the bikes we do want so we will have to buy their more profitable version.
The tyre thing is interesting too.

I like his content on YT and think his vids are fair. Much better and no bias compared with other Moto media.

That was the hook that had we watch the whole thing, I'd read in one of the monthly mags years ago that the OEM tyres were always shite but they never elaborated why. Now I know...........I still think he has a face and demeanor that lends itself to punching.

Re: 3 Ways Motorcycle Manufacturers Trick You

A lot of these YT motovlogger guys come in for a lot of criticism, namely for not being truly critical of the machines they review. I say fair play to them, making a living out of something I’m sure we are a little bit jealous of is no bad thing.

Re: 3 Ways Motorcycle Manufacturers Trick You

I came across him a couple of years ago when I was looking for a new lid and found his info to be good and a bit different to all the other boring reviews I was also checking out at the time. Mind you haven’t watched him in anything since

The whole industry is built on that bullshit though - it's always been the way. When a new bike is released it is brilliant and they magically can't find any flaws on their highly in depth launch test. Suddenly the outgoing model has problems that never existed when they originally reviewed it. Coincidentally this new version improves on all those previously non existent problems. Oh what joy - now go and sort out your finance ya huer

Yeah same here. His video editing skills are second to none - I know because I have been trying to put together couple of clips of my kids messing around using everything from Windows Photos to Davinci Resolve and it's a flipping pain in the neck. His videos are so very well done and I can now fully appreciate the amount of work going into getting something like that out on to Youtube.

He also seems to do a good bit of research on topics he's presenting. Sure he's not your average "bloke" full of "pub talk" - so what. He's alright.

Re: 3 Ways Motorcycle Manufacturers Trick You

Think Ryan is one of the better u tubers out there. He doesnt give you the mcn style 5 minute glowing review, instead I find he has nearly always something interesting to say. Great picture quality and editing also. Found his review of the kawasaki h2 to be funny (especially if you grew up watching movies in the 80s)

Yeah they seem a decent bunch watching them for a while. Have you seen the auctions he get's bikes from prices are next to nothing although new bike prices in the US are really cheap also.

Bit annoying when he starts going on about jesus though
