Great thread. I was at the NW200 when Robert left us. My first road race meet with one of my best friends from school. Think we were only 16 at the time. Also with us was his uncle Noel "Smurf" Murphy. A man who would be following in one of his idols footsteps in more ways than one, losing his life at Tandragee in 2014. I didn't hear of Smurf passing away until his months mind. Me being a gobshite and trying to forge a career early. Work work work. I left some good friends behind. Friends that I wish I could have, and should have, been there with to help in a loss like that.
