Triumph Mechanic

Well lads - does anyone know of a mechanic who dabbles in Triumphs at all?
More specifically a Sprint.

Preferably in the Dublin area.

Re: Triumph Mechanic

It's running really rough from idle up to about 2500rpm.

It's had a dignostics check - no errors.
Also had the TPS reset - that seemed to work but after a couple of days it went back to rough again.

It's really doing my head because I commute through the city so i spend a fair bit of time in the 0-2500rpm range.

Re: Triumph Mechanic

Did you check your throttle balance/MAP values?

04-08ish Rocket IIIs had a primary TPS that would go faulty, wonder does the sprint have the same part

How would I go about that Dude?

The engine map was reloaded and the TPS reset. No joy.

You can do it with the software used to set TPS / ISCV reset, and load maps.

The aim is, if the MAP sensor was seeing low vacuum/high pressure, due to vacuum leak, it will over fuel causing shit running.
Throttle balance being out will too

The original Map was reloaded, TPS / ISCV reset all done.
Didn't fix the problem...

Yeah but I'm asking if you've checked throttle balance/MAP values

Also if it might be a faulty TPS

Gotcha - no point in resetting the TPS if that's what's faulty
