Default Grand soft day!

5 degrees, driving rain, heavy spray and gusts of 70kph!

Not ideal biking weather, I'll admit.

A lot of standing water on roads too, with debris blocking drains and stuff.

Be careful out there today, lads and lasses.

It is to get warm and dry by the weekend.

Miserable alright... a real shame that they had to cancel the drag race here in Cork yesterday due to the shitty weather.

Bent over backwards to get a new tyre for the bike on Saturday, so I could ride to work this week. Not a chance this morning!

Forntunately, it is to pick up from tomorrow. Courtesy of Met.ie:
National Outlook

Tuesday night: The last of the rain will clear Ulster and it will be a mainly dry night. Lows of 3 to 7 degrees. A chance of patchy rain or drizzle in the southwest towards dawn.

Wednesday: A chance of patchy rain in the southwest at first on Wednesday. It will die out with hazy sunny spells developing. A touch milder than on Tuesday with highs of 11 to 15 degrees, mildest in the west. Quite breezy with moderate to fresh easterly winds. Dry on Wednesday night with lows of 7 to 9 degrees.

Thursday: Becoming warmer with sunny spells and light winds. Highs of 13 to 18 degrees, coolest along the east coast in the easterly wind. Dry with clear spells on Thursday night with lows of 5 to 8 degrees.

Friday: Dry and sunny with highs of 16 to 20 degrees, highest in the west. Light easterly winds.

Saturday: Continuing mild for the weekend but the highest temperatures will shift to the east on Saturday as cloud increases in the west. Highs of 15 to 20 degrees in light winds.

Sunday: There is still uncertainty regarding Sunday but indications are that cloud will increase further in western counties on Sunday bringing a risk of rain. Highs of 14 to 20 degrees, coolest in the west in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
