There's usually a plastic holder for the coil and the two wires from each end of the coil wrap around a small spigot part of the plastic frame. If this is the case, unwind the wires off this as a lot...

Must be brushless alternator. The coil is stationary and the engine turns the steel rotor around the coil. You should have about 2-3 ohm resistance across the two wires to the rotor coil. If it's...

What part are you talking about and are you sure it needs rewinding. Not called field coil in an alternator. The rotating coil is called a rotor and outer winding is stator. No one that I know of in...

I've done repairs on a few, but they're built for low rpm, high torque, so no good. You'd need something with higher RPM.
