TimeSert kit - M6 ?

Finally getting round to sorting some stripped threads on the 450. I've three m6 threads in the head I managed to strip all by my own cack-handedness

Was looking to buy a TimeSert kit, but jz they're expensive. Was wondering if anybody anywhere close to Dubland might have a kit with the tools for M6 inserts I could borrow for a day or two ?

Gladly pay for the inserts in beer-tokens/fuel/used bank notes/access to the young wan for an agreed period of time/whatever.. :cool3:

I remember years ago having to buy inserts... Only them did I realise you need a whole new kit for each size... Yikes :woots:

hadn't heard of 'timesert' before but I got 6 & 10 mm helicoils before to fix stripped inner threads and it sounds like you need the same thing. look on Amazon or something. helicoil kits. should be no more than €10er

^ Aye, I know about those things thanks - different kit altogether. I'll go with helicoils if Im beat, but only as a last resort.

We have a kit in work. If you can bring what needs to be done to me and pay the shop for what you use it shouldn’t be a problem at all. I can’t loan it out unfortunately
