» Gsx600f fuel tank
Jan 17, 2019 - 4:44 PM - by Markomurray
Just wondering is there anyone out there with a decent fuel tank for a gsx600f 1999.
Was informed by the mechanic it needs a new tank or a good solid repair as there was sealer inside the tank that I didn't know about and it all started to come apart from its self.
If anyone could help me on this one it would be great.
Thanks lads

» Cage logic
Jan 16, 2019 - 10:12 PM - by Christopher Livingstone Eubanks
I'm gonna leave my house at 7am to queue up 10km from my house to arrive at 9am. Cages, cages and more cages everywhere you look or go. Getting pissed off filtering for the 10km to pass all them cages. Why won't they get out of them cages. Is there really that much pleasure in queuing up for ages. Nothing else is an option, just being a cager.

Jan 16, 2019 - 5:09 PM - by R.M
Need to organise travel insurance to cover me while riding my bike.
My insurance has Euro breakdown cover, but I need something more, to cover any any flights/hospital cover etc.

Any recommendations?
Lots of policies only cover riding smaller cc bikes.

At rush hour yesterday I was travelling through the Northbound bore .

On the right hand side of the right hand lane was a scooter travelling at about 40 kph being ridden by two lads wearing balaclavas. No helmets.

Cars and trucks gathering up behind them -

» Aprilia RS4 MPH to KMH
Jan 15, 2019 - 11:16 PM - by Peter.k
Hey there I recently got a used Aprilia RS4 and it came from England so it's obviously in MPH I've been trying to change it to KMH but I cant seem to do it. In the manual it says to hold the two buttons on the speedo at battery start up within 5 seconds but I tried so many times and it just doesn't do anything.

Anyone have any idea how to do it?

» Instrument Cluster Repair - Ireland ?
Jan 15, 2019 - 9:25 PM - by -alan-

The function buttons on the instrument panel on the Daytona aren't working.

Knew they were dead before I bought the bike - not a show stopper, but not being able to adjust the clock and trip meter is starting to become a bit of a pain.
A reasonably common problem on them apparently - and there's at least one company in the UK who can run a diagnostic check and (generally) sort the problem.

Is there anybody here at home who can tackle the same kind of work ?

Been a while since I set foot / turned a wheel offroad, but I've a friend who fancies a shot at some trails, or time on an enduro/MX bike. Wouldn't mind another bit of gentle MX'ing myself :)

Is there anywhere you can hire a bike / time on a track for an hour or two in Ireland these days ?

» 'Yamaha's character suits me better' says Melandri
Jan 14, 2019 - 6:30 PM - by Admin
Former 250GP World Champion Marco Melandri believes the character of the GRT YZF-R1 he will campaign in this year’s WorldSBK series suits his catty style better than the Ducati he championed for the past two seasons.

Melandri strutted in to the new satellite team to partner with reigning WorldSSP champion Sandro Cortese and after only a small amount of seat time, he already thinks the package can challenge for podiums.

Howaya lads, so looking at booking for France this year again, had a lovely time 2 years ago, but was wondering would any of you have recommendations for countries with cheap bike rentals?
Thinking maybe to fly somewhere different and rent if it doesnít cost a fortune.
I was wondering somewhere like Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, somewhere that is cheap in general. I wouldnít try it in the upper cost European countries, would just drive from France if I was going to do that.

Any ideas?

How yiz,
After many years squeezing by my mrs unused bike I've put in fresh go go juice, new battery and oil change. She fired up I'm going to give it a serious clean and check over. She's finally gonna move it on 🤗 (don't ask). Trouble I'm having is settling on a price.

Anyone any experience riding in the U.S.? I'm doing a J1 for the Summer and was thinking of getting a bike over there. Got an insurance quote from Fernets for $246 equivalent of tpo over here on a 2016 R6, 19 year old, with motorcycle licence and no ncb. Bikes are a lot cheaper over there so I was also looking into bringing it back. Just wondering if there's any pitfalls anyone is aware of.

Jan 10, 2019 - 8:18 AM - by Rockster
Having put a small scratch on the wheels of my cb I am trying in vain to source a paint pen online to fix same. Its the honda gold wheel colour (code is YR502P) but am unable to source it anywhere in Ireland. Bit of a 21st century problem I know as its not a big issue, but it annoys me none the same
Problem is of course, I cant get it shipped from abroad, as paint pens are of course lethal weapons.
Anyone any suggestions??
