» New to me BMW K1200s
Nov 22, 2023 - 4:29 PM - by BazD
I bought this BMW K1200S during the summer from a really decent lad in Limerick. I absolutely love it and did some great touring on it. It has full ohlins suspension and an akra system. I'd love to know any info about it, does anyone know any history of it?

» Any mechs / auto electricians Dubland who could tackle bike wiring ?
Nov 18, 2023 - 6:32 PM - by -alan-
Have a real pig of a job in prospect - changing the drag bars on the Hardley to bars a couple of inches taller, and need to redo the wiring.

I did it before, but would rather outsource it this time. Bit of a pig of a job because the handle-bar controls and switches are from a later model, and the colour codes don't match the original loom on the bike. Also chose to route all the cables internally through the bars last time around, so had to remove the outer layer of PVC cover to get them to pull through the internals of the drag bars, and am just left with the individual wires for most of the length of the run.

Everything works now - albeit with wall-to-wall automotive block connectors crammed into the headlamp shell - but there's a possibility some or all... [Read More]

» Wanted. Old Starter motor.
Nov 15, 2023 - 11:06 AM - by PJ
Anyone got an old starter motor knocking about?
Doesn't need to be working, but needs to be complete.
Small one from "another" vehicle would be fine either.

» The EU are coming for us....
Nov 08, 2023 - 12:19 PM - by blk150
Well im going to enjoy these last few years of freedom on the bike before it all goes ta shit. The nanny state EU apparatus is now proposing lower speed limits for us (for our own safety of course) whilst leaving cage drivers to drive their brand new electric environmentally friendly 80k Tesla as fast as they like.

https://motorcyclesports.net/motorcy...-speed-limits/

A Green party member lead initiative of course

Seriously how the fuck do these bastards hold so much... [Read More]

» Bird poo stain removal
Oct 06, 2023 - 5:24 PM - by Rockster
Left my (previously) immaculate bmw in my garage and didn't use it for a couple of weeks.
Unbeknownst to me it was also home t o a family of starlings. Needless to say it was covered in bird shit as was parked directly underneath the rafter where the little bastards made their nest.
Wiped it all off and gave it a thorough clean. Bike looked as good as new except when it dried out there are marks in the fairing (very similar looking to the damage brake fluid would do). Little shits have buggered off to Spain for the winter thanks god.
Any idea on how to tackle this lads?

» Nearly wiped out for 2nd time ...
Oct 01, 2023 - 10:26 PM - by R.M
Was out for spin with buddy today around Co. Clare.
Was on road between Connelly & Miltown Malbay.
Cracking day & road. Tipping away, and about 1km from Miltown Malbay I'm coming up to a 4 crossroad junction where I have right of way. Out of my right eye I spot a car hooting it from the minor road where they should stop, but from the speed they were going, I knew this Langer ain't stopping. Heavy on the anchors for me, and this cunt went across me doing at least 100-120km.
Either a 21 or 22 Audi A4.
I nearly shit myself. An ambulance wouldn't have been any use this time if I hadn't braked.
Either they were oblivious to their stop sign, or were high on drink or drugs or what the fuck, but fuck me....I'm losing the will to go out anymore.
