Apr 24, 2019 - 7:33 AM - by 2shea
Any recommendations for reflective tape/vinyl or wrap in sliver. The high grade M3 that's used on the back of cages or ambulances.

Also recommend someone to fit it.

I want it in silver so it can't be seen during the day and it doesnt make it look like I'm trying to make the bike look an emergency vehicle.

Because we all know of the fools riding around trying to make themself and their bikes look like garda bikes.

I'm looking for stealthy during the day and very hi-viz at night/dawn/dusk.

I want to cover my rear luggage/pannier (left and right) and a patch either side of my front mud guard.

What's your thoughts on the Honda X-ADV?
Is it a bike or scooter or a bit of both?

Same 750cc engine that's in the nc750x and all the other NC bikes.

Only comes in DCT which I like anyway.

It should keep up with most machines on the twisties, well apart from the 200bhp super bikes and honda 50s

Apr 20, 2019 - 9:21 PM - by biosed
Got a puncture on the M50 this evening, thanks to a Lad called Alex for stopping and giving me a hand.

Any chance there is somewhere open tomorrow that could stick a tyre on?

Have a tyre but would buy one if they had pilot road 4 or 5.

Cheers

» Carole Nash €10 beat your renewal offer
Apr 20, 2019 - 1:54 AM - by oncebitten
Hi Two years ago I paid €580 insurance for a bike with AON, transferred it to another and renewal was €770, tried Carole Nash and was quoted €950. I went to principle and got it for €580. It was up again this month, €415 from Principle......I got a flyer in the door from Carole Nash:- If we can't beat your renewal, we will give you €10. I contacted them.....€810. I asked how do I get my €10 and had to explain about the flyer, he came back with €535 after knocking off their €150 broker fee (I heard it should be only €60) I asked again how do I get my €10.
He asked how much my renewal was I said €415.
He gave me the contact details to claim my €10.....still waiting for a reply.

I'm moving house soon and the new back garden is quite small and flipping the bike around will be a pain in the bollocks.
Is there anywhere in dublin that sells dollies?
Also, if anyone has other ideas on how to spin a bike around just shout (not the side stand method &#128514.

Hello.Recently I got my hand on a Skyteam ST 125-y from 2005.The chain was snapped on it and i fixed it now it works pretty well.I was just wondering is there any possible way of finding out where to get the plastics from or what size would fit because I couldnt find any information on it and I cant measure it myself as the plastics are just too dead. Thanks
(I know people will comment that these bikes are bad but considering this is my first bike and I got it for free It seems to work pretty nicely)

Hi folks, been off here a while as had to sell the bike to help with the house. You know yourselves. I'm looking to get going again and looking at the z1000sx. Something for commuting but also a bit of pull. No claims is gone as I've been off bikes for 3 years so that means no busas!!

Anyone have one and what are they like? Cheers, Alex.

I want to respray the right side panel on my bike. There's a scuff mark where the bike was dropped (low speed or stationary).

Will probably mean respraying the entire panel, but my concern is making sure the paint matches the rest of the bike.

Its a suzuki GSX 600F, paint code Y4E

The question is how accurate are paint colour matches? Will the colour be a good match from which ever suppliers I choose or could anyone recommended a supplier.

Looking at a couple of options

Apr 18, 2019 - 2:29 PM - by yvo6
The circuit owners 500Club have kindly allowed Easter Monday competitors access to the circuit from Saturday 20th April – Gates open 7.00pm

There is an event on during the day on Saturday and access will not be available until then, so competitors coming from Bishopscourt can take it handy and relax.

We have a large number of competitors and cars are not to be parked in the paddock - this is taking up room for competitors bikes.

» Is it expensive to 'silence' an exhaust?
Apr 16, 2019 - 2:51 PM - by Dub Duke
Have a Micron on the R6 - sounds good IMO, but I'm nervous it is going to attract attention from the 5-0.

Is there a simple way to put baffles in it? Not sure the pic will work, but it's loosely a triangular end to the exhaust.

» 636 b1h oil change filter 'burp'
Apr 16, 2019 - 1:15 PM - by jake361
I recently bought an 04 636 b1h

Rode from Cork back home to Wexford and bike ran perfect!

Just gave it a full service and done the "Kleen air mod"

After changing the oil the pressure light came on and after searching I found out about "burping the filter" on these bikes as they can get air stuck in the system.

Filter needs to be twisted off to let the air out with the bike running and supposedly that fixes it, I have tried this numerous times now with no luck, light still on. Tried leaning the bike side to side, tried filling the filter with oil and nothing is working, getting worried it's gonna get damaged now from running it to try get pressure

Any help much appreciated! 👍

» Mobile puncture repair service in Dublin?
Apr 16, 2019 - 9:40 AM - by SandR
I'm waiting for the DART at the moment, on the way to work ....

Found a screw in my rear tyre this morning and I'd like to use the bike tomorrow morning.

I need a solution that's available on evenings.

What's the fastest way out of this?

Mobile puncture repair? Any recommendations? (specific to motorcycles - I can't have my brake disc or ABS messed up by a generic car minded worker)

Plan B: Any recommendations for a place that's open during evenings and I could take my tyre there?

Thanks for any advice.

When is the next one, and what are they like with relatively inexperienced riders?

I am looking for somewhere to explore the bike a little bit in a safe manner.
Are track days full of knobs acting the prick or are they friendly with newbies.

Also, would a track day be much wear and tear on the bike?

Not ideal biking weather, I'll admit.

Hello guys.Today I had visited my uncle and he gave me this bike he had in his garage for a while. He told me its a Skyteam 125 from 2005 and that its not really working.I took it as a small easter project. So I got the bike starting. But when I went online I couldnt find a single thing wrote about the bike or a manual which would be very handy. And this might sound stupid but I am not really good at riding bike but I know that when a bike is in gear it souldnt move freely.I went through all the gears to find the bike is moving freely.Any help with the problem or a user manual would be great.Thank you
