Exclamation 1/4 Million Harley Davidsons Recalled

And after speaking to the manufacturer's Ballymount PR department we can now confirm that the recall will affect a large number of Irish Harley Davidson owners.

A spokesperson for the HD repairs workshop said ; "Harley-Davidson has announced a voluntary recall involving the secondary clutch actuator on certain 2017 and 2018 Touring, Trike and Softail and CVO Touring and Softail models. The secondary clutch actuator may exhibit an internal leak of fluid past the secondary clutch actuator piston/seal.

"Owners of affected motorcycles will be contacted to arrange service with an authorised Harley-Davidson dealer, who will confirm that the motorcycle is covered by this recall. If covered, the dealer will arrange with the customer to have install parts from the recall kit, which will consist of a new secondary clutch actuator piston/seal.

"Harley-Davidson is conducting this voluntary recall in the interest of customer safety and satisfaction. Customer notifications will begin on or about the week 5th November 2018. Customers with questions about the recall should contact their nearest authorised Harley-Davidson dealership."
While the Milwaukee manufacturer has estimated the global recall to cost in the region of $35 million, the firm suggested there was no such thing as bad publicity and expected sales to increase as a result.

A spokesperson for Harley Davidson said "yep they really are shit bikes, personally I wouldn't buy one for the price of a pint and I'm confident all the bad publicity will be great for the "brand" "

Hard to believe that any bike manufacturer would do something like that.

The chain that links the engine to the gear box...yes. maybe some models do oil the drive chain too....but Harleys really are a very simple...and millions of simpletons buy into the "brotherhood" bullshit. While others just like them. I wouldn't mind owning a really old Harley, that was of its era. But this Craic of paying mad money for a brand new piece of shit baffles me.

That's net income, not revenue. Net revenue doesn't seem that bad so people are still buying stuff from them.
