you never mix tyres, rubber / profile and thread are different as well as structure.

CB1300 is a big bike, most tyres nowadays are more than up to any task.

something like BT30 will be fine.

Have michelin pilot road 3 on mine and am very impressed with handling and grip. Predictable turn in and no issues on wet roads.
Personally would never contemplate mixing tyres.

pr 3/ pr4/pr5,
bridgestone t30
all good
had pr3 & pr 4 on the vfr 1200, also a heavy bike like the cb13, the pr4's suited the bike better

as for mixing tyres,
i have a Michelin pr4 on the front of the tiger, got a puncture on the rear had to replace with a new Bridgestone T30 at the week end,

the mixed tyres didn't blow up, the wheels didn't fall off it, and the bike still went round corners, wet and dry,
so I guess its a myth

Sport-touring tyres are a good compromise between grip and durability.
Any of the usual brands will do a good job.

You should use the same type of tyre for front and rear. A bike
like the CB1300 would have sport-touring radial tyres front and rear.
It is perfectly fine to use different brands front and rear.
