william dunlop remembered

I missed this when it was broadcast on BBC 1 a year after Williams passing
eventually found it last night .
William was the smoothest and most natural rider i have seen and I loved to watch his style . spoke with him a few times and he was a true gent
Good to see BBC gave him the recognition he deserved too
a credit to his partner Janine his two girls and the Dunlop family and of course his mum and the late Robert & uncle Joey

Thumbs up Re: william dunlop remembered

Gud maun, that BBC iplayer doesn't work for anyone down south (or the rest of the world as far as I know), William was one of the greats - less the gung-ho ego centric maniac and very unassuming while avoiding the spotlight and just getting on with racing - a bit like what endeared many to his uncle Joey.

It's easy to be sad and negative especially when confronted with what they leave behind, but like all those before him - these road racers live more in a few short years than many people would in 1000 lifetimes.

2013 where he beat Anstey at the UGP ;
