Hes a big man. His mother was ravished by Bigfoot in 1965.

Was "34" his fathers racing number or something ?

His old man raced #34?

kinda remember when he first raced this side of the pond on a Gixer and he was #34 then! (the Easter Transatlantic Series in Blighty - three rounds on three different circuits over that weekend, basicly US of A versus the tops from England)

According to an article in TWO or Fast bikes in the last month it was a number used by the Yoshimura test team when they moved to the States first and Schwanz liked the look of it.

You're up Brendan as I liked the bigfoot one and I have to head off.

Why do Ducati's have different logo's (font on the text for 'Ducati') after 1997 painted on them ?

Possibly true but not the answer I'm looking for.
Actually you would have to be a Ducati nerd to know the answer.

I'll post up the answer - just in case it ruins anyones Saturday night not knowing.

A Texan company bought most of Ducati in 1996/97 and the original logo/graphics was actually still owed by Bimota in Italy. So the yanks couldn't get the permission to keep the same one on their new bikes so they have the new (boring) Ducati design on the bikes and the yuppy accessories.
