Scrutineering is all done together, its not split into seperate classes so it makes no difference how many bikes are in the class everyone just ques up in a line.

Scrutineering starts at around 7.30 and they aim for bikes on track for 9.

Sometimes in Mondello for a Sunday race day they scrutineer on a Saturday evening to take the load off for Sunday

No one races a Hornet, there is usually 1 Thundercat and the rest are CBRs. Id be very suprised if a Hornet would touch a cbr.

They are seperate classes since the start of 2009.
They only run together when numbers are insufficint for two seperate grids

Is there a worry about the number of 400's on the grid, or is it still a strong class? Also, what would the min modifications from a standard bike be that need to be made to make one competative enough "not to be shite " , to quote another?

Numbers could be better but there may be a revival, I klnow of a lot of lads starting in the 400s this year. Its an ideal starter class.

Good suspension is vital, same as on any race bike, after that its nice to have the engine work done but most 400s here have fairly standered engines
