Default New baby arriving Jan - Could be Twins of African origin

Time for the Gixer to go to a new home.
Had my fun, but more comfort is required & some Euro trips in the future hopefully.

Picking up my Africa Twin in Jan. Few bits to be fitted (crash bars, skid plate, heated grips)

I must be getting old!!

Big shout out to the gents (Niall & Tom in Meskells)

great bike, well wear !

Seamless gearchanges and less distractions for commuting and around towns if its the DCT model, good vantage point for low hedges and forward visibility while very comfortable on shitty irish backroads with respectable enough fuel consumption for the longer trips, very under-rated workhorse thats reliable and great value compared to some bikes !

I'd say you'll miss the almost instant turbine superbike lunge initially, but you can't really be acting the hoolie 2-up or in obscure places a million miles from anywhere without the lingo if you come a cropper monoposto from scratching pegs abroad, and it makes for a more leisurely spin to enjoy the sights and not having to worry about cops etc., best of luck with it, have they still that repsol blade below ?

No bother shifting that on with another 4k miles on the clock if you eventually get bored of 'er either.

That white is the best colour scheme on them. Well wear. Meskells make buying a bike very simple - top lads to deal with.

Savage yoke, you'll love it!

I rode one for about half a day and I loved it, it was the DCT so it took a little bit of getting used to it, but once your stop trying to reach out for the clutch (which is now a hand brake), all is good.

She has enough power to keep things interesting if you want and pretty decent handling in the twiesties.

Congrats and well wear!

Good bike the AT, DCT is clever, lot to be said for it.

I picked up a Super Tenere myself this week in the UK, missed the one i sold but it went to a good home to a member here. so had to go back. Looked at the AT and rode one, but the price point for no shaft and tubed wheels didnt swing it for me. Horses for courses and all.

wear well, many happy miles on it. Keep us posted how you get on with with, id be particularly interested to hear how you get on with the tank range / consumption etc, both alone & two up.

Lot to be said for the trailies, you can hoon on them in any weather, and a full zorst and ecu flash, im looking at least another 10 bhp not to mention the toqrues. Yes they are big, but they are some craic, and the worse the weather, the more bad you want it to be on one.
