In fairness to Guy, he writes a great book - read 3 of them at this stage and they're a great laugh !

So what if he's made a few quid from books/TV - there's no denying he was a damn good road racer. The 'big-mug-of-tea' persona does grate after a while in fairness......

Thanks for posting this. Best hour I have spent in a long time.

Its amazing why these lads do what they do, it was a great documentary and goes some way to explaining why they do it.

What I have never understood about the TT, is why the there isn't multi million euro prize money, the riders certainty would deserve it, and I cant understand why anyone sponsoring those prizes would not get a return on that investment considering it is the only race like it in the world.
Bigger prizes would certainly help those independents who constantly return to the IOM at their own expense and keep the sport alive. Who really wants a world where its only factory teams that can afford to race.
