Default Import

Hi all, new to all this and buying my first bike,

I am looking at a bike with a UK reg but I know nothing about the import process.

According to the vrt website it costs less than 100e

the selling said that he has a valid ferry ticket

How long does it take and how easy is the process?

Thanks:)

Do a search on here. There's even a full pinned thread about the up to date process involved. Member since 2009

If the bike's in the country already and the ferry ticket's over 30 days old, you'll be charged extra.

Hi.

Your best bet to have a look on the VRT website-->FAQ--->

https://www.ncts.ie/1155

to avoid grey areas.

Bring all documents needed and present the bike in question for the inspection.

Once you booked the bike for inspection you'll receive an email of them.
READ that email carefully!!

The better you are prepared for it...the easier is the process.
Usually you'd be in/out the VRT office within less than 30 min.

What bike are ye after?

I was talking to a nice fella who was selling it in limerick. but I will only be finished my lgbt on the 25th, the same day that the ferry ticket will expire, so I don't think its an option.

I am on the hunt for a Hornet 600 around 04-05 ish
