Default bike for Classic Superbike class??

Hi guys out of the following are there any bikes that you thoroughly wouldn't recommend to campaign in the pre 93 superbike race class:

Fzr1000
Fzr750

I know the yzf750 is preferable, but, the above two can be had for peanuts.

Gsxr750 wp

Has the cradle frame, so might be a bit wobbly, but still has nice upside down forks and braced swing arm

I know that people will prefer zxr750 and yzf but these bikes, due to becoming collectable, are also more pricey whilst what U mention above can be had dirt cheap and still could be fun to race.

Any thoughts?

Btw for clarity this is not the golden era class held in the north but the pre 93 class held at model lo

Thanks guys

FZRs wouldn't be competetive without massive cash injection.
GSXRs are too barge like.
Mad maxx has a YZF for sale.Ready to go with spares

I was wondering if you were allowed to swap the 16inch front for a 17inch or would that be breaking the rules?

My ten cents, every one has a favorite and bike set up and rider skill seem to be the over riding (excuse the pun) advantage, that said having a good bike under you can make things easier and be great for the confidence, up until you care about it so much you are scared to hurt it. We haven't had anyone on a first gen Fireblade on the grid yet so it will be interesting to see how they get on. Swapping the front to a 17 is fine and with tyre choice a smart move.
Generally the earlier the bike the more you will have to do, to it to be competitive with the later bikes, so it can work out more expensive in the long run, but if you have a earlier bike and you get on with it the class is there for you to ride it so why not. If you are looking to buy a bike and want to start out with a bike thats not holding you up, you will get a different answer from everyone you ask, with a budget in mind it is always generally cheaper to get a bike that already has some race conversion( suspension, race fairings, brake upgrade, rear sets) but if you factor that into the cost of a road bike and troll eBay it can be a close call.
Right now theres a fair spread of different bikes on the grid and you would think they would be also spread out on the track, but its surprising how anyone of them could run at the front with the right rider, its great entertainment swapping places with heavy superbikes and microlight 250 two strokes. Theres nobody I think on the grid who takes it for granted how its going to play out (but maybe thats just me, ha ha)
Probably the best advice is like investments, get something you like for your self and you won't be too disappointed. You will be spending a bit of time with it, prepping it servicing etc so you might as well want to be doing it, and as time goes on and you start buying it presants and not adding up how much you are spending you won't feel too much like a bad person.
On a practical note , you get cheap yzf750r's showing up on eBay UK now and then and also zxr's and gsxr's, with reasonably low milage and needing tidying so sub 1500 pounds sometimes well below that, sterlings low at the moment couple of hundred to ship home. boom.

I will try to find out more on that bike
and I only started racing in2014 so aint no seasoned racer
As Robin says get something you like and run with it probably better to get a race bike already built as it will probably work out the same or more expensive to build a bike
Theres been a few GSXR's out there and were doing alright
also think about steel frame cbr6 as cheap way in , theres been a few coming and going in the class and were doing ok as well

I know where there is a ZXR750R K that is half ready for action.
It would be ideal and already has lots of the right stuff, such as close ratio box, after market shock etc.

Let me know if you are interested.
