As a long term ducati rider and having not had a mid life crisis yet, i would tend to acknowledge most ppl, but depending on my mood and persona fluctuation, this can be unstable, with an egg-shell like consistency per-se, while tumbling down a staircase.

perpetual interactive thoughts, scenarios being blended in a vacum of uncertainty and dismay, leading to paranoia, atop of a heavy right hand, squeezing every drop out of the 250 cc single automatic, can be deflating, although its purpose is unrivaled for cross city commuting.

Hire a GS for a day and go around saluting everyone-except other GS riders. Should make it a yearly event like Christmas for poor bikers....

I saw a group of bikers coming out of a car park in Sutton. I did a wheelie on my 690 to say hello. One of them caught it on camera and put it up on a forum complaining that it must have been robbed!

Would I get a nod or a wave if I was on a ducati, KTM or bmw? The most common bike I see is the gs and Ducati minimoto(I think?) similar to the gs. I guess I am not a ''real biker'' yet because I have an sv650, all other bikes give me a nod though except scooters or couriers which is fair enough.
OP

I had an SV650 for years
Great bike

Got plenty of Nods

Maybe it's your gear?
If you one of these lads that wears runners and trackies?
If so... that's the reason you're getting no nods

Didn't work, a couple of seconds later I sneezed, my head went back and then shot forward as a gush of snot escaped my nose. Unfortunately, I happened to be passing a fellow biker as I sneezed. He nodded back. I don't know what he was riding, some Japanese yoke, Suzuki/Honda/Yamaha whatever, they all look the same to me. Anyway, I had to do a U-turn, chase him down, give him the finger and call him a cunt just in case he thought I respected him.
