One year I booked my flights waaaay in advance and thinking I was going on the friday i was heading out the door when i checked the flight info and it was for thursday - I'd missed the flights and tbe whole trip. Man was I pissed.

Its a great show to bring kids but it can get boring for them if you keep stopping to frott yourself on the latest Harris rearsets for your gixxer.

Went to the dublin show with my dad who's 80 and due to an arthritic hip he had a hard time getting on and off bikes. He had a henkel and some other obscure 60s machines back in the day. He thought the triumph bobber was class due to the low saddle height. Small matter of it looking likes a dogs dinner didnt put him off....

Ah yea, some good deals to be had. I don't usually buy because I am not a big gear head.
There's the usual stuff aimed at middles aged born again bikers who like that kind of stuff, and there's plenty accessories shops and the usual shite you rub into.visor and never get fogged again stuff.
Once again don't miss the lads doing stunts. Crazy

Cash is KING.

Haggle Hard,as most of the vendors dont want to be taking all their stock back home with them.

Be carefull with some of the helmets and check the dates on them.

Brought my 14 year old last year and set him up for the introductory bike lessons. Was not great for his age group to be honest but he seemed to love it. However the younger kids were having a ball. Book before you go though!

Also watch out for UK private cash machines as when you put in a Euro card it offers you an exchange rate which is sky high. When I copped it I cancelled and it still went ahead with the transaction. I was so pissed I rang the company and they said because I refused their suggested rate I was then only charged the normal bank rate. This is all over the UK!!!!! Beware.

We went over to this yesterday, first off, the tickets are free from the press office with your passport and boarding passes, all you do is show them and they give you the passes, for kids and all. The press office is to the right of the first entrance from the airport side.

Inside, well its fantastic. Its defo a manufacturers show in terms of the stands, not as many shops and the likes in comparison to London but a brilliant show.
For kids, this is the show, they have brilliant set ups for kid and they get to go on these electric motocrossers around a properly built kids track.

There are some really astonishing bikes there, and they ability to sit on them and try them out is even better. I signed up beforehand for the test rides and well and truly worth it.
You can also try an off road course with the likes of Africa Twins,KTM and Triumphs, great craic and a great buzz.

The Harley stand has two rolling roads, one with a street rod and the other with a softail slim, and ya just jump on and give them a go.

Met Michael Dunlop, gent of a man and Bradley Smith was great craic at the KTM stand.

I would definitely recommend it, great show.

I got a few small bit and pieces, stuff like Vulcanet wipes for really cheap, some gear was cheap but I wouldnt say any bargains, id say next weekend there will be some serious ones as they wont want to be bringing it back.
Lots of parts suppliers, Austin Racing exhausts stood out for me, incredible pieces of kit.

If ya have checked in baggage youll clean up, things i use alot like GT85, for £2 a can or case for 20, tyres are cheap, and good tyres at that with 2017 date stamps.
Helmets; Arais are on offer and bring your own one over for a free service ( smells divine after whatever they put on it)
