Default abs reset on a bmw r1150gs

i folks i got a 2001 bmw r1150 gs but need to reset the abs light as battery is low and need to cancel out the alternating flashin lights .when i go to the diagnostic plug under the seat what wire do i earth off of theframe for 10 seconds while holdin the abs switch . i did this a few years back but have it forgotten. many many thanks in advance

Stuart is the bmw guru........works in cotters .......might be worth a call...if you have no luck ..

Have the very same problem myself.black tape over 2 abs lights for last month as they were doing my head in.Hopefylully the above Chinese info works will be trying it in morn.Working abs would be nice on the roads at moment.

Here's your procedure

Locate the round diagnostic connector on top of the airbox
With a wire, ground the brown/blue stripe wire (pin #2) and keep it grounded.
Turn the ignition on
Hold the ABS button down for about 8 seconds.
Release the ABS button.
Turn off the ignition, remove wire.

Sometimes you need to do it a few times before it works .
