it's a keeway, don't think it CAN be fixed to be honest, maybe park it in ballymun for a few days, then claim off your insurance and buy a honda bros instead

Its a small single cylinder yeah?

Does it cut out when the choke is on or just when off?
Does it do it at any particular pattern? Stopped At lights? Or when driving along?

Id change the air filter and plug, try to get an iridium plug ngk brand.

If there is a petrol filter change that too.
Check the tank breather isnt blocked up.

How old is the bike?
What miles are on it?
Has it always done it or did it just start doing it?

Check the carb insulator and airbox are atached proper and the rubbers are not cracked.

I had a Speed 125 with similar symptoms. It was always due to water in
the petrol. The first couple of times, I was able to sort it by opening the
drain screw and letting the water out of the carb float-bowl. When the problem
recurred, I filled a glass jar from the fuel tap and let it settle for a few minutes.
When the water settled at the bottom, I found that the tank had about 20% water,
80% fuel. Removing the tank and flushing it out with clean petrol sorted the problem.

I cleaned out the carb and still no difference
I still suspect it is a fuel problem.

do you think it could be a bad spark plug .
One of the big advantages of a single cylinder bike is the low
cost of changing the plug. Fit a new plug and see how it goes.

You can wash and re-oil the air filter to see if that helps. Don't
put too much oil on it.

If you have a voltmeter, you can rule out charging problems
by checking the battery voltage while the engine is running.

Been their myself...times were bad a few years back and ended up on a Honda Pantheon 125(grand little bike tho). In the past ive used stuff called "Tank Dry" that mixes the petrol and water in tank and then it all gets flushed out together

check the carb rubbers , sounds like it coub be sucking air in somewhere, spray the likes of wd40 around the carb to head rubber to see if it makes any difference, also have look at the plug, a good clean sometimes helps.

The bike belonged to my son. He usually left it uncovered in the pissing
rain. The water probably got in around the filler cap or breather.

I don't think the water came from the local petrol station. I never
had any water in the fuel for my own bikes. I often buy petrol in
cans from the same source (South Link Road, Cork) and it always looks
clean.

Is there a drain hole somewhere around the neck of the tank? I had a problem with my 1150GS with water gathering around the neck of the tank. I found the drain hole was completely blocked up - so much so it was hard to make out it was there. After clearing it out using a couple of strands of wire poked down the hole, the problem of water buildup was resolved.
