Your right it's like a term of endearment for any old 2 stroke from back in the day, nothing at all to do with the nutter that was at the helm.meanwhile I still don't know what an sc28 is.Is it an srad ?

i was once told theres only 10 mph between the gsxr 750 and 1000, obviously acceleration would be different but not much in them after the srad models, find my 750 big compared to my old 96 blade, miles apart when it comes to performance though, blade was quick but gsxr was much more precise and alot quicker

Doesn't help if you're searching though - if I want parts for my NC24, or if I want a donor bike, or if I just specifically want an NC24; it's a total waste of my time searching through every add for a VFR400 - unless the text includes 'NC24' then the above is *precisely* what I have to do and, whilst there are wose ways to spend and afternoon than browsing bike adds, it's not a ritual you'd enjoy if you were doing it with any regularity.

The bottom line is that that information exists to make the process of identifying what you have, what you need, and what you're looking at, just that little bit easier.

Going back to that "Honda 1992 CBR900RR Fireblade *SC28*" mentioned above, the reason for being so specific is that that's the model with the air holes in the nose fairing, and the twin lamps - *NONE* of the other models have those features and they are what defines the early 'blade. The implication being that I wouldn't be as interested in the later models as they simply don't look as good. I'm know the lamps went out in '96 but I think the vent holes might have gone out even sooner, '94 or so.

And spoonmans reply to my point brings me onto my next hate on ads......when a lad selling a bike puts "Yamaha r1 r6 gixxer fireblade gsxr 1000 600 cbr hornet Fazer bandit rsvr" that crap fucks up any lad who's searching through the ads.

Point taken on searching for parts though And the chassis code been included in the ad.

What you get up to with other nonconsentual adults in the privacy of your sex-basement is no concern of ours. And I'm finished with those handcuffs - I'll run them through the dishwasher and post them back...

Noticed prices are high in the UK for old blades and Busa's also. Had a look for a 1998 RRW there recently and anything half decent was big money.

no greengrass, the bandit wont be sold, I would not sell her unless I got the exact money I wanted and that prob wont happen, I sold my gsxr11 for silly money nearly 3 years back and everytime I look up at the pic of her on the wall I nearly cry
Im not desperate to sell her but I would like I said if the money was right and there is too many on dd, adverts etc for like 1200-1800 and lads dont generally think of the other things like wheel bearings, headstock, valve clearances etc when buying and they can cost an arm and a leg to get sorted after getting there bike at a nice price. My bandit has everything mechanically perfect if it were not for the shit paint job is all that would put people off, I dunno what was going on in your mans head when he got that done as she was down as black on the book, and if ye remember back she also had ape bars on her that cost 400 to get the rentals and new brake lines , choke etc.

The blade I put the link up for is going for handy money and what I was asking was not what ye thought of the colour scheme on her but what to watch out for mechanically and what not, Ive no bother paying a cupla hundred for a nice black paint job it would take a bit of saving and a credit union loan but getting a blade for handy money I have to ask whats wrong with her beside the paint. I could not give a fuck if it was a tele tubbies or barney paint job once the mechanics was good if you get me.

I know what to look out for in gixxers but I never had a blade hence the question as its not the only 929 Im looking at

It's a fireblade......in Monaghan.....and it looks like shite. When those three things happen in one advert walk away.
