Default chain help!!!!

Hi lads, need some help!!!

I bought a chain online for my sons bike and they sent the wrong one.
We are sending it back and were going to put the old one back on as he needs the bike to get into collage.
The problem is that I had ground the old chain off on the inside link, so now when I want to rivet a master link on I have to take the cut one off, thus making the chain too short.
Was wondering if anyone around the cork area would have an old chain lying around that I could have a few links off.
The chain is a 520 o ring.
Sorry for being a bum, just want to get the lad back on the road as it will be nearly 2 weeks to send and receive for the new chain.
Thanks in advance, Cube.

I think I have the old 530 chain from my Bandit. It is still in fairly good
condition. From memory, it is: 116 x 530VX. What kind bike is it for?

More questions:
Would you be happy to run a 530 chain on 520 sprockets?

Will you be able to find a 530 master link?

Spring clip or rivet type?

Anyway, I'm in Cork City if you want to give it a try.

cheers for the offer Confusion.
the bike is a cbr 250r 2012.
think he is going to go into cork tomorrow and going to buy a chain to fit.
then get a refund from the internet instead of a replacement.
badly let down from a large well known company in the uk, but that's another story for after i get a refund.

thanks again, top man for the offer.......

I have no suitable chain here for him,
But don't forget that the city centre bike shops are closed on Mondays,so he'll have to go to Lee's in little island to get a chain tomorrow.
