Cops in London also have their hands tied since the death of a drug dealer on a moped they were following.
Cos it was all their fault that he hit another car while fleeing them, not wearing a helmet. And he had a great future ahead of him until the fuzz killed im innit...
Now they have to get permission from on high before they begin persuing scrote on a scoot. The scum know this.

If you don't fight back your bike will be taken. You'll never see it again. The police and The Man won't help get your bike back or catch the thieves.

If you do fight back, and the thieves stab or beat or acid you and take your bike, your bike will be taken. You'll never see it again. The police and The Man won't help get your bike back or catch the thieves. You'll be scarred for life. The police and The Man won't help catch your attackers.

If you do fight back and injure and detain the thieves(s), the police will arrest you, the judge will sentence you, and the thieves (now victims of an assault) will sue you.

It's all VERY fucked.

Looks to me like the inquest found the police at fault because of a technicality, the family decided that meant the police killed their darling boy, the disciplinary hearing let the officers off so now the family and friends are shouting "justice for Henry Hicks!".
Only one person caused his death and I'm just glad he didn't crash into an innocent when he did so.

You forgot to add bleeding heart liberals to the mix. I mean if he hadn'g been bumped off by the popo while trying to score some blow, he could have been the next wayne rooney or david beckham. Or some other wealthy white english person who got rich by not working in a proper job.

finally, a reaction from the in london.

The London Metropolitan police have started using undercover snatch squads to drag suspected moped thugs off their bikes.

The tactic is part of a new initiative to combat thieves and smash-and-grab raiders, with teams of plain clothes officers – known as snatch squads – ambushing criminals while they are caught in slow moving traffic on their scoters or mopeds at pinch points as they ride into the West End.
As crime gears up for Christmas, 24 pedestrians were targeted in a gang rampage across north London on Monday. Four thieves on scooters and mopeds robbed people of their mobile phones in Islington and Camden before police managed to deploy a ‘stinger’ to trap one of them. That same day, seven suspects on two wheelers raided a luxury watch store in Fleet Street, armed with a samurai sword, metal bars and knives, making off with thousands of pounds worth of watches.
The new ‘snatch and grab’ tactic is being used by officers as an alternative to the controversial chasing of moped robbers at speed in a vehicle – a tactic often considered too risky due to legal implications.
Two moped thieves have been dragged from their bikes so far; one was jailed for three years for robbery offences and the other – who was just 14-years-old – was charged with a series of moped-enabled crimes.
The Met, always looking for new ways to combat the scourge of moped robbers in London, are now deploying stingers to deflate tyres, as well as a forensic spray that marks individuals committing offences, which has been used more than eight times across London in recent weeks.
Detective Superintendent Jess Ruddell of Westminster Police, who implemented the snatch squads said: “This new tactic works and sends out a message that police are willing to do this and tackle these suspects. We are deploying covert and overt tactics to tackle these robberies.”
Sergeant Matt Carey of the Operation Venice team, which targets moped-enabled crime, explained how police also deploy spotters to identify suspects – usually scooter riders with pillion passengers – about to commit crime in the West End. “The spotters radio ahead to the snatch squads lying in wait at designated ambush points where normally they have to walk their bikes through. If the risk is too high and they are travelling at speed we will not do it.”

Subsequent arrests are made by detectives who use forensic techniques and CCTV to identify networks of individuals who are committing many of these offences across London.
Last month a moped robbery gang that committed more than 100 phone snatches in just 18 days was jailed for five years after an investigation by the Westminster Crime Squad.
Claude Parkinson, 18, and two other youths aged 15 and 16 admitted conspiracy to rob at Southwark Crown Court. Samsul Chowdhury, 40, of Bethnal Green got four years, ten months for handling stolen goods.
Police say the tactics are having an effect and crimes have dropped by 25% from a month or so ago. They are appealing to anyone who spots suspicious activity – such as mopeds or scooters coming back to a lock-up in the early hours or youths congregating on bikes with pillions – to contact them.

Default Acid Attacks

London teen who used acid attacks to steal six motorbikes in two hours jailed for 10 and a half yearsPretty vicious attacks on mainly delivery guys on mopeds. This offender is seriously twisted, one victim lost 30% of his sight permanently.

I'm not the religious sort but I think in certain crimes an eye for an eye approach might be warranted.

Some people are just bad Legend, ps. I love you Xs and possibly don't deserve the civilisation of justice through the courts.

Either you give yourself to moral type behaviour or act like an animal and get treated same.

Was it Ghandi who said "An eye for an eye and the whole world will be blind" Belongs in the old Testament alongside incest, torture and genocide. Lock him up for ten years but during that ten years he should be subjected to every test possible to try to understand what and what caused him to do such brutal attacks.

Totally agree.
Study the heck out of him.
After the victims have been asked if they'd like to throw acid in his face.
There'd be medical attention on site obviously.
We're not the animals here. 😉

Don't be a fucking idiot, there is no argument for death penalty. Even if 1 innocent gets killed by the government. Did you see how many people have been killed in the good old USA and they were later found to be innocent? I mean years later and it still happens to this day. Would you be ok if some innocents get killed but some bad guys get killed as well? What if someone from your family was wrongly accused? I could imagine if someone close to me got accused like this and killed by the government then it would be my personal life goal to do everything I possibly can to get revenge.
