Re: Tyre question..

Still the wrong fitment tyre, and as mentioned most likely the tyre is shot... If you're planning on covering any kind of distance just put a proper tyre on it

That's the problem... it doesn't get rode.. the way it should.... only into the shops now and again.. so no big distances covered... and only at normal speeds.. too old for that these days...

You see, you don't know your arse from your elbow
Standard is a 4.5 inch. Yours has obviously been changed, which you failed to mention, so who's the fucking knob?

Ya are takin the piss...your own. Ya have the largest profile tyre on an oversized rim, you also tell us that there is no risk of binding when on the road and under load. Did I ever tell ya, I'm the virgin Mary?

Normal road tyre won't come up to a proper operating temperature in a short spin to the shops, this is to say they will never show their full grip potential. You expect race tyre which need a higher temperature to work as well.

By doing what ya propose ya will have a bike with all the road handling ability of a supermarket trolly and no doubt ya will be on first name terms with the staff at the local A&E as ya quickly build up yer frequent flyer miles there.

The only incidental plus is my doubt that ya would have any fear of leaves nicking yer death machine, even if ya thoughtfully left the keys in the keys in the ignition for them.

I was being a tool about it because you were refusing to listen to anyone who was talking sense. You knew so much better than anyone who actually knew something.
So why bother posting the thread in the first place, when you had no fucking intention of listening to anyone who was going to disagree with what you'd already decided?

Then you come back with this fucking gem

It's a 5.5 inch rim.. yea fucking knob...that's standard on them.. I thought you would have know that...
When I know that a standard rim is 4.5 inch. That's what I know.

So I stand by my original comment... You're a fucking tool

Go back and read it yourself. Pretty much every single person said no, it won't fit. They said this because the original wheel is a 4.5 inch with a 160 tyre fitted, and a 190 tyre would not work on that rim, it'd be dangerous at best, but you went ahead and fitted it anyway, and told everyone they were wrong, when it was you who was wrong, because you asked if the 190 tyre would fit a 1988 GSXR 750, which it won't on a standard rim. That's like asking if Hayabusa pistons and rods will fit a 1988 GSXR750. Everyone tells you they won't, then you come back and say they do fit... because it has a Hayabusa engine fitted.

Re: Tyre question..

I never told anyone they were wrong.. I just said it fitted ok.. as in clearance with swing arm and chain.. no clash.. I had assumed the rim on it was the standard rim.. but it wasnt..
