Hey lads and lassies,
In light of the amount of motorcycles being stolen recently, it was suggested that we have a sticky thread for reporting stolen bikes. So this is the place to make other members aware that some light fingered git has stolen your pride and joy, or the P & J of someone you know. When posting, please include as much info on the bike as you can. Make & Model: Colour: Reg: Location Stolen From:Approx. Time Bike was Stolen: Any distinguishing Features: eg special paint jobs, exhaust etc. It was also mentioned that lads have, in the past, have been phoned and offered their bikes back for €XXXX. As we've seen, there's not a lot the guards can do in this situation. But a member on here with some contacts in the mobile phone business has kindly offered to do what he can with regard to tracing the phone should you get such a call. Obviously I cant tell you who it is but PM me with the details and I'll pass 'em on. Lastly, keep your biked locked at all times to something solid, and be careful about where you leave it at night!! This has ben a Public Service Announcement on behalf of Biker.ie, in association with No-Work Thursday ![]() |

Allow me the dubious honour of kicking it off
Make: Honda Hornet 250cc Colour: Silver Reg: 96 D 58227 Stolen from: Rochestown in Cork at about 8:30pm in October of last year Distinguishing Features: Had been crashed only the night previously, so scraped on left hand side, possible fork damage (had to pull it out from under a car), gear pedal twisted. Had new front tyre and new chain and sprocket fitted only the previous week. A cop rang me last week and said are you the owner of a Silver Hornet Reg 96 D 58227. Yes, says I, giddy at the thougths of a reunion. Just checking its still stolen says he. Grrrrrrrr. |

Nah 'fraid not. I'd only had it about 3 months before it was whipped. Went into Lee in Cork just in case some clown brought it in to be fixed and he said I was the third guy in that week who'd had a Hornet stolen. Weird. Fergus Cawley was also tellng me of a guy he knew who had a Hornet whipped and he was walking pass Ross Motorcycles in Cork a few weeks later and spies his own bike outside, waiting to be collected after some guy dropped it into be repaired!

I agree with Brendan - probably not wise to give the exact address the bike was stolen from, in case one of those manky bastards with thieving fingers sees these posts and reasons that there might be a replacement bike at the same address.

Delighted to see this thread and a sticky on it.
Can I make one suggestion. Everyone go out now and take a photo of your bike(s), if you don't already have one. No excuses like "I only have it 3 months and didn't get around to taking a photo". I know we don't like to think of it happening to us but it could. They have to sell these bikes to someone and unless they are exporting them we can us this forum to keep a collective eye out for the thieving bast'rds. |

Sup lads,
My mates 2002 KTM250 Orange/Black was taken from his front garden last Friday night/Saturday morning in the Baldoyle area, Dublins Northside. Bikes in good nick, usual Orange KTM colour, grey hand guards, 1 side casing melted (very noticable), also once we get close it is invisibly marked so fairly confident we'll get it back eventually. Heads are watching the usual places for motoX use and have an idea who lifted it. Silly boys. ![]() Pm me on here if yis happen to see one like it pop up in your area. Reward given for help retrieving the bike. No questions asked. ![]() Cheers Lads. ![]() |

hey folks, just a message to those who havent had some arse nick a bike from you yet, lock them properly! A disk lock on the front disk or a chain on the front wheel is a waste of time, all they have to is loosen the nut on the axel, pass the axel through and on goes a different wheel, only takes 30 seconds. Get a proper chain, i use a hardened chain with square shaped links along with a padlock with a removable top which a bolt cutter cant grab onto. Put it through the back wheel, NOT your front and pass it through the frame or shocks. A chain on the back and a disk lock on the front and your typical bike thief will walk off. By brother hardly ever locks his properly, hence its been nicked twice but luckily recovered both times, the guards spotted the bike one of the times gave chase and caught them when they took a spill in a tower block car park. They wouldnt prosecute cos they were "young offenders" and didnt want to make their record any worse... a complete joke. He caught two lads trying to steal it a third time when he was with some mates, was actually pretty funny they were thick! one of them was on the bike trying to break the steering lock and didnt notice my bro coming up, he pulled him off the bike and beat the sh*te through the two of them!!! Id say you all wish that you'd had that opportunity

year : 1992 colour : blue got nicked from Amiens Street about a month ago (I know I'm a bit late posting this!) rear wheel is a darker gold colour than the front so its easilly recognisable, not many blue bros's around either. last seen going in the direction of summerhill by the cops who lost them in the traffic. got another bros now but its just not the same! |

unfortunatly not, trying to get one from the place a bought it, they might still have one. loads of distinguishing things about it though. only real scratch is on the front of the front mudguard, smaller indicators with carbon effect stickers around them, carbon sticker on top of the clocks.
oh yeah, the reg is 92 D 49322. |
