Someone feckin pinch me. Am I reading this link wrong or can I buy a pair of BT-014s for 180 in Cotters???

http://www.cottermc.com/catalog/product_in...products_id=600

The Dunlop D208 rear at 135 is excellent value (anyone rate the 208s? Suitable for a heavy bike?), but there's no way the bridgestones can be that price, mebbe it's just for the rear.............

I'd bet the price is right guys.

Simon has been dropping prices on a lot of stuff lately. He's got this thing about not being beaten on price by people sourcing stuff on the internet.

My advice...in this case specifically - buy the tyres!!

In general...source it on the net and then approach Cotters with the price on the net and he will do his damnedest to match it.

I think it's right!! Cotters are very hard to beat on price for most stuff!

The link now shows BT-014's for 250 a set (fitted). That's more like it. Still a great price though.

Edit: just noticed the pair of Pirelli Diablos for €169 fitted. That is indeed a steal. My last pair of Avons were €350 fitted.

Techie, when you actually purchase them the real price comes up. Looks like they're in between changing over to euro.
Oops, just noticed when you click on by now for the pirellis, a minus number comes up in your cart, in other words they're not available.

Hey Tech, on the subject of tyres, can we make an approach to Pirelli or Avon or the likes, and try to get a deal like some of the yank sites get, ie get a free front when you buy a rear? Have a look at the yank ZZR website: http://www.zzrbikes.com/modules.php?...ws&new_topic=7
(Don't bother looking at the prices, you'll only upset yourself)

Well buddy, Igot a puncture in Newbridge a slow one , and got Andy to plug it. Lost the plug and had to get a new set. Never liked the origonal tyres cos the bike would'ent turn quick enough in tight bends but great on main road sweepers.

The previous owner had a dunlop on the front and a michllen on the back. Anyway got Andy to come out to collect the bike and put a set of 014s on it. Cost was 370 including collection and fitting,. not bad I thought.
Was in Simons shortly afterwards and he would have done them fot 240 fitted.

Moral of the story is that yes go to simon. He is a real bike man, sponsors the lads and even spent 50k last year on sponsership helping the roadracres.

Hard guy to tie down but he deserves the support, apart from his low prices, he is dead on.

Recently got the D208 for my 'bird. great tyre, last one was the same.

Great service from Cotters. 150 inc fitting & recycling charge (135 + 15)

I rang them and they'll do a BT014 rear for 145 all in, or a pair fitted for 250, not to be sniffed at.

Long story short.......yes!!!

I sourced one on the internet and he more than beat the price for me. Haven't picked it up yet but definitely worth talking to and haggling with!!
