If you think you are going to turn a profit on that fixing it up and selling it think again.
1200 to buy, forks, headligight, all the wee brakets and possible frame before you look at the consumables.
Lads often forget that by the time you do tyres chain and sprockets you are near 500e the brake pads oil, oil filter and air filter.
I know it says consumables are good but never take it as a given.

If you have a grand would you not upgrade the blackbird?
Suspension? Radiator? Oil cooler lines?
I've done a good bit to mine and it's 1000e easily spent on a known quantaty!

you have to assume the frame is kinked with an impact that got forks are in shite

frame is 1250 so forget that
https://partsss.com/es/kawasaki/reca...pid335188.html

yer man that straightens frames is in with Johnny Meehan in CB motorcycles
can't think of name right now ( brain is dimm from xmas drinks)

even though looking at the frame diagram i dont know how you would straighten it if it was kinked .
good luck with it which ever way it goes

You will put an obscene amount of money into bringing it back to new unless you are exceptionally frugal. If the bike is in any insurance category that will knock a few hundred and many potential buyers off straight away if you go to sell it. Write off are best steered clear from unless they are a bargain and you aren't worried about resale. The person who does good out out of a restoration project is the one who buys it off of you.

Not to derail or anything but I have a 04 z750 I am looking to sell (not on donedeal as I was going to trade it in)

I seen the z750 OP is talking about. Mine has some damage from a slow speed low side. Radiator took the worst beating but I replaced with oem part.

OP, pm me if interested

Well, Curiosity got the better of me, i had to go and have a look, when i went in the door , i got the shivers. There is bent, and there is BENT, fu*k me lads , but it got a right good smack. I just said, No, No, NO , Not for me. As everybody said, it could need absolutely anything, its a breaker , and a bad one, i had a plan "B" for another one to view on the way home, 05 z750 , with a dent in the tank, for very right money, which i bought.so now i am going to try to repair the tank ,or if i could get a tank at right money happy days, or if tou weren't fussy , slap on a tank bag,and just drive, tanks for allthe good advice lads.
