The best sounding bike I've heard in real life was Bruce Ansteys RCV.
But I do like this,

Awesome bug splat at 2:01

This is probably one of my favourites, although the z1300 video is up there now, that was the first good one I've seen, the rest have been fellas just going up the street babying it. Sounds like an f1 car when ridden properly like your man.

Had two Ktm 950 SMís both had akrapovic can without baffles. Sounded like the DL but the DL would be easier to keep👍

Re: Best sounding bikes vid

I've never lent my RSV4 to anyone so I could get to hear it coming and going. It's got an Arrow can, and from the saddle gives the impression of an Italian opera on wheels.

Re: Best sounding bikes vid

Feck me, that bike was bouncing around all over the place, I thought he was going to lose it a few times. Beautiful sound out of it though.

Can anyone tell me what the two red lights were on the rev dial?

I am assuming the top one was a rev limiter as it seemed to kick in every time he hit or was close to 10,000 revs.

I have no idea what the lower red light was for.

Re: Best sounding bikes vid

There's at least three of them at the top - a set of leds that come on progressively as the revs get closer to the redline.

Dunno what the lower one is though.

edit: Comes on when he lets the revs drop down to 7k, and stays there until he's had it back over 8k for a while. Was there not some kind of odd electrical system on those Norton rotaries - the low light's maybe some kind of warning when the bike's drawing more electrical power than it needs to keep the rotary ignition system working?

Or something :)
