Re: Cagiva Elefant 900

Mmmm!
When I started work in 97, someone had one - used to love hearing it fire up in the underground carpark!
They'd stand out for seeing feck all of them about these days.
G'luck with your hunt!

The one I used to see was dark grey in colour btw

Re: Cagiva Elefant 900

good luck finding one! i 've been looking for one for a while, one popped up on ebay a while back but was pulled and sold before i had a chance to bid. another came up on xrv.org but again went very quickly. think there are only 8 or 9 in the uk on the road these days

Saw one regular in swords doing commuting duties about eight yrs back. Sold a bike to an Irish guy who had one. Doesn't Phil Gunn have one?

It's a Ducati motor,so it really is the same thing

I really like them too but they gave a lot of hassle with various things and I'd imagine that kept a lot of them off the road. Pity cause they look great

Re: Cagiva Elefant 900

I had one for two years back in 1998/1999 , it only let me down when starting it . Turn the key after it got warm it might not start . When it was cold NO problem . A new regulater/rectifier sorted it . Replacement came from England at the time . One off my best bikes ever . Colour Burgundy and Gold .
