Drones are getting a lot of bad press recently, mainly for the invasion of privacy and recording of say, some burd performing fellatio on a banana thru her kitchen window, I know, is there nothing sacred in this perverted techno world any more, but,..

Can you set DJI phantom to 'hover' in a static position, unmanned, for a while say to record a fly-by wheelie, or does actually need someone at the controls all the time ?

The likes of the Phantom or Mavic will indeed just hover with no user input at all. They'll even pan and track you as you ride by on one wheel if you want. But it would still be better to have a mate at the controls whilst you're on the bike, better safe than sorry and all that...
