Default Toy Run for Refuge

I just heard Rathmines women's refuge is now closed. I'm wondering if the toy run orgainisers are aware of this.
I'm aware that there is a lot of sentimental value on this run for people who were friends of Aiden who ran it.
So just raising awareness of this if youse knew already, sound. . Is there any alternative destination.?

With the Rathmines Womens Refuge still closed, this year we'll be supporting the Solas Womens Refuge in Blanchardstown.

Now in its 25th year, the unfortunate truth is that without runs like these, there is no Christmas for the women and children availing of these services.

The crew in Dublin Harley Davidson are again throwing open their doors to us on Sunday the 23rd of December and will have the kettle on for all participants from 11am.

Please bring an unwrapped present for boys or girls of any range (and something for the mammys too please!) and if you can't get down on the 23rd, you can drop in presents in advance to the team in Dublin HD and they'll keep it safe under their tree.

We'll be rolling out at 12:30pm, feel free to decorate your bike or yourself!

We won't be going down the M50 as per previous years, instead, we'll be taking in a new route to the Summit Inn where the handover of gifts will take place.

Please feel free to share with all your mates!

Ah great to hear it's only temporary - tis one of my favourite runs of the year. They probably need to extend the room for all the stuff that arrives each year!!

Read article in todays independent.ie that the refuge is closed till early 2018.
Sad that such a valuable service has to be shut for 'electrical repairs' you would think in this day and age that its possible to work around a place.
And vulnerable women and kids being denied a service till April.

The wellcome the staff and ladies gave everyone last year was unreal.Seeing all the kids chasing Santy around all over the place was the best memory of the day for me last year.

Oh yeah, the rearset/gear shifter linkage decided to part company with my bike half way through town.

Cable ties and insulation tape to the rescue.

Can't make it this year, (I'll be abroad), but still have a few shoeboxes organised. Can I drop them off somewhere or have them collected? Northside preferably as I'm swamped in work.
