Just saying hello, can't be rolling up looking to flog my bike without saying something
![]() I'm a newbie to bikes, first time ever sitting on one was February of this year at the grand age of 30. Doing my full Bike test now next month and picking up a Honda CBF600 in the next week or two also, the ole 125 can only do so much :) Living in Galway now but originally from the best county in Ireland, Monaghan ![]() Look forward to stalking the forums and learning from you folks! |

I believe the 2007 model is still the Carb version. From 2008 on the CBF600 uses Fuel Injection. Mine has been faultless and I haven't had a single issue, I've put over 4,000 miles on it or 6500KM so I've done a fair bit on it. Most sites put the MPG at around 45 and I find this to be spot on.
The seat has 3 adjustable heights. You take the seat off and there's some bolts/braket you can change that will adjust the seat height. I haven't done this as it's already on the highest setting. I'm 5'11 and I can two foot it easily. Depending on how small you are I'd say you'll be ok. The seating position is quite upright. I did have issues with wind buffeting as I find the standard windscreen is too small, I've put an extender on it but there's still a bit. Will likely upgrade the stock one to the taller Givi 303ST at some stage. I regularly go on long spins for hours. At the start I'd get a bit sore after 1.5 hours of riding, but I took the time to really play around with the ergonomics of the bike, adjusting the bars, pedals etc and it's been much better. My arse gets sore from the seat quicker than my body would feel uncomfortable now. You can use this to give you an idea. I'd go with a fairing model if you are considering one, naked is all well and good but the buffeting will drive you mad eventually. |
