Its sad to say bad things about the Irish bike shows....but they really are gone downhill.

I know the NEC and England has a bigger biking community, but they do make a proper effort to put on a good show.

The problem with Ireland seems to be the half arsed approach and the organisers attitude that people will pay top dollar to see a shit show.

Sad but true.

Principal Insurance is the VJMC sponsor and has been for a number of years.
And a great sponsor of road racing and classic bikes and biking events in general, fair play to them for supporting our community and giving a lot back to promote biking events. great effort from the 20 lads who supplied bikes on the VJMC stand, fair play Glad you enjoyed the video

I honestly dont know??? we are working on some ideas? but at this stage its still too early to say, A fireblade display is one thing possibly? a weird concept called "the dark room" (dont know how this will go?) And we try to mix things up, but as you guys know there is only so much a bunch of volunteers can do, so the support from Biker dot IE is appreciated and we will try to entertain as always

I wonder if their would be any interest in a restoration demonstration area where you could watch anything from wheel building, airbrushing/respraying, alloy polishing, even a live engine rebuild or possibly a question/answer sessions from club members for the amateur restorer?

The Stunt area is small and limited, more a noisy distraction!

But credit to the VJMC, they do work hard to bring us this annual show

Well the bike mens shed will be there so you can chat with them and we have in the past invited the restoration night school lads to come along and do a live resto, but if people dont want to attend you cant make them. The Stunt show is not for old bastards, its for young people, kids and most people like it (besides your hearing must be almost gone at this stage so it shouldn't bother you too much!!!! ha ha and its only 4 times a day for 20 mins each time, great craic. Please ask any contacts, dealers, restorers etc... to get in touch and do a live resto, or something similar or even display a bike yourself, thanks

Amsterdam is the place for the Vimon, Swords is the place for classic bikes, but yes, the beautiful Principal Insurance ladies will be present as always, make sure to ask for a picture

Very late to the party but for anybody reading who is thinking about bringing their bike up next time -

Free parking in the carpark of the RDS with plenty of security, was pleasantly surprised after hearing the horror stories!
They kept a very close eye on the bikes and the people going to and from them to be fair to them
