Spin to Achill

Was off today so headed up to Achill for a spin. Grand day, roads were wet but it didn't rain. Left @ 8am & got home 5pm (600km round trip)

Getting on grand with it. Have 17k up in 12months. Less power obviously, but better for touring on. Great yolk on juice if cruising to speed limits. Have averaged 4.7l/100klm since start.

Re: Spin to Achill

There was the now infamous Midwest spin to Achill about 10 years ago (a high speed off, communal teepee, ferocious drinking and weed was ok in the pub once exhaled up the chimney) There are one or two survivors still on the forum, the rest have probably found better things to do

The MidWest overnighters have mellowed over the years...
I vaguely remember similar debauchery in Waterville...

Thinking about September this year, the last two have been in the south so definitely heading north this time...

Will start a thread later in the year...

High speed off had little effect on the pilot. Last time out coming up the corkscrews he came round me on the outside grinning like a mad man. Think there might have been an oil issue that day also.
