Preloader pipe on rear shock cut

Hi, im wondering does anyone know where i would get a new pipe for between the preloader and the shock on a 1150 gsa? The one i have got cut. Its an 8mm pipe with 8mm banjo bolt fittings on either end. About 300mm long.
Same pipe on 1150rt and possibly more.
I have a picture but cant figure how to upload it.
Thanks.

You could try your local Pirtek but be prepared, they are fookin rip off.

Worth a shot to contact HEL in the UK and see what they can make up for you. You'd have to provide them all the measurements etc but they could make it up.

Are you sure the pre-loaders can be bled? I had a look at mine before as I wanted to replace the hose but couldn't find any way to bleed it. So even if you have the correct hose, ya might be goosed???

Re: Preloader pipe on rear shock cut

I've replaced one on an ohlins with a Venhill one - they're really easy to assemble. I bled mine through one of the banjos. Its a pain but worked OK after and had full travel. Its not critical to have it as well bled as brakes, obvs....

Cant see how you are going to fill the shock with enough oil with the reservoir or bladder gassed
You are not going to get any oil in the reservoir with about 180psi of nitrogen in there

Re: Preloader pipe on rear shock cut

Ohlins need to be compressed to remove or do anything with hydraulic adjusters - a proper PITA to deal with.....

The preloader is diffrent to the shock gas, totaly sepurate. Got a pipe of an old shock, have it fitted and blead, and working perfect. The preloader on this just tightenes the spring to compensate for more weight, doesnt effect spring/rebound of shock.
