Default Tt 2019 or 2020?

I am planning on going to the TT in 2019 or 2020 with 2 other lads. One lad & myself on bikes, the other in a car. 4 days, possibly including senior day but not set in stone. What i am looking for is some info on the best campsites, places to watch etc etc. Now i've been researching campsites but i'm looking for first hand knowledge. Chopper off here told me about Glenlough Campsite (i think)
http://glenloughcampsite.com/
& it was a good spot. Has anyone ever used this site
https://homestay.miquando.com/
We'd like to be able to get to Douglas handy enough
aswell for going on the beer.
If someone could post a link to a page off here with info i'd appreciate that.
I know it's very early to be thinking about this but i know these things get booked very quickly ferry wise et etc.
Thanks.

glenlough campsite, put up your tent, sit on the hedge and watch them go by heading for ballagarey, bus run to douglas, the pizza crowd delivers and the railway bar is just down the hill. camping is great in weather like this year, last year was a living hell. go homestay if u can.

for watching, we were at hilbery this year for the senior it was mental, bikes coming flat down from the creg and swinging across the bend, sometimes on the grass. I'll be honest I remember when I was sat on the hedge at the campsite for my first experience of a superbike passing up close and personal and it scared the shit out of me lol, its fantastic. some lads went to sarahs cottage this year too and said it was great, and well provided for with a jacks and grub, theres a guy on youtube called unrestricted isle, hes a local and does reviews of places.

By most accounts Glenlough seems to be a good one.

General consensus, weather could fuck it up.

How far in advance can you book the ferry?
Do I need to have that booked before booking campsite?
Going to go with Glenlough.

bookings appear around november for oncoming TT, you will have to use belfast unless you want to use dublin port and spend a week there. (brexit?). the normal craic is you select your sailing dates and put a deposit on it, then steampacket send you the notice for full payment closer to sailing. when you're paid up on the boat send an email to peter in glenlough tell them your dates and that you'll be coming from ireland and will pay when you arrive, theres no facility on their website i think. anyways when you get off the boat in douglas and you get over the fact that you're on gods own racetrack stop in tescos and get ur manx cash from the atm...drive on out past macdonalds, pass quarterbridge, the bleachers on the left.. head out thru braddan and realise just where you are.. gets me everytime

Steampacket should be releasing more spaces around this time of the year for people who paid deposits but haven't paid balance

I'm travelling from Cork to Belfast for the 4am ferry on the superbike saturday coming back on the Tuesday morning from Dublin, really looking forward to it

Managed to get a homestay in Port Erin, bit out of Douglas but last time camping in 2017 was rough with the weather

port erin is a bit of a spin but lovely if you're not after the douglas nightlife. yes 2017 was rough, it got so bad one night i reckoned on chaining the bike to railings, flying home and coming back for it later lol! saying that glenlough didn't do to badly, wind was severe and it got mucky but i heard proper horror stories from other sites. weds and friday of race week were beautiful and every other day was dismal lol. took this pic of guy martin on the mugen, look at the sky... meanwhile we had to improvise windbreakers lol

Lads, if ye can't make the TT, then head over in July for the Southern 100. Have been there for the last 4 years & TBH it's brilliant. Plenty of bikers n the island....very little law.....cheaper for ferry & accomodation. Less assholes on the TT circuit.

Never been for the TT week so can't compare, but July has been brilliant for me.

Classic TT in Sep may be another option for you?
