Kurviger / Scenic

I heard about Kurviger about a year ago, with some people totally raving about it's curvy roads feature.

https://kurviger.de/en

Only available on android and as an iphone fanboy, it wasn't and isn't available on iphone.

Anyway, spent two fun days going to limerick and back to dublin using an app called SCENIC that works on the iphone. Uses the same algorithms as Kurviger and is a fully working GPS with highway curvy/curvy and very curvy road settings.

It is really good! Brought me places I've never been before. Now, I'm on a GS, so not too bothered by road surface but the roads it brought me on were suitable for all bikes.

Anyway, just sharing. Try either of them if you like. Both free but have the usual in app purchases for voice commands etc.

have fun

Re: Kurviger / Scenic

It's a nice upgrade on the usual gps apps.

Just to reiterate,

Kurviger for android
Scenic for Apple.

It's E40 a year to access the maps. As a free user you only have your local area. In my case Leinster. So not much use if I'm going to Limerick is it?

Yes, you are right. It's not free, as most things on that planet. I have paid the fee to use it all over the country and on my Portugal trip as well. E40 is less than one night in pub.

What's your deal pal?

If you want to spend money unnecessarily go for it. Just feck off out of my thread.
