Re: Bike Insurance in Ireland -How much do you pay?

Got a renewal quote from Adelaide - over €100 more than last year, no explanation.

Got other quotes for more coverage and less money, went back to them and they matched.

Told them to fuck off for not doing that in the first place.

Too late to warn you now, but for everyone else (and for your next renewal), if you think you might ever need to use your insurance and make a claim don't go near MCE with a bargepole. Personal experience was I had to involve two Ombudsman (Ireland and UK), and their CEO to resolve a simple claim with no personal injuries, It took 6 months to extract payment.

MCE Renewals tried to retain my business during this fiasco by dropping my renewal premium further ( even with an open claim) , but I declined and paid a little more to go with an Insurance company with an Irish Office.

Re: Bike Insurance in Ireland -How much do you pay?

43, full licence, 5 years + NCB, 2 bikes 03 SV1000S and 08 SV1000. Adelaide renewal was 231 (with excess of 250) which is 12 quid less than last year. Opted out of roadside assistance as I have AA membership and opted out of legal assistance too as I'd much rather my own solicitor working for me (if it ever came to that).

Axa were looking for 597 and had an excess of 650! Far too much on both counts! Man, some insurance companies really suck.

55 year old - full A for 38 years
4 years NCB (Born again biker)
2015 Triumph Street Triple 675

My renewal from Cornmarket was 553 Euro - I paid them 470 Euro last year. Dropped to 420 Euros after I told them about the Liberty quote

Liberty - 344 Euros

Carole Nash - 490 Euros dropped to 309 Euros after I told them about the Liberty quote.

I am now a Carole Nash customer (again was with them in 2015)

fully comp 45 years old , full licence since 1994 , never a claim. 449 Carol Nash was the best I could get on the gixxer k9.
Rightly pissed off when I found out a lad at work from the same town is paying 290 for an R1.

Nobody can answer that except the Ins Co.
Ring them all, & then bounce the 2 cheapest off each other until your original quote drops by 50%
