360 euro for the FJ, TLR, XS and TZR with Carole Nash.
I thought that wasn't bad.

First time insurance at 25 yrs old.
0 NCB.
Full A license held less than a month.
Got a Honda CBR 600 F4I 2001
Third party, Fire & theft with Principal for €850 - Nearly €300 cheaper than Liberty & Adelaide who quoted me around €1.100

At Bikefest Principle insurance handed out plastic bags with a flyer that says they will give you a tenner if you find an insurance quote cheaper than them .... also a blue plastic bike cookie cutter ( I think )

Re: Bike Insurance in Ireland -How much do you pay?

34, 2 years NCB, no penalty points, Cork, F800ST, commute, no pillion. TPFT on my bike, and TP insurance if I ride a bike I don't own.

Cornmarket/Adelaide renewal letter offered 441 (excluding breakdown or legal, they wanted another 70 for that).

I rang principle and they initially said 380 ish, (including breakdown, legal). She asked if I was happy with it, (I was!) but I said I had been hoping for below 350. She came back with 331

Spoke with Cornmarket after, the lowest they'd go was 340 (but excluding breakdown or legal, + 70).

So I'm now with Principal!

Shop around folks, it's worth it. My renewal came in at €648 (€500 last year) with Aegis They did come down to €493 just before I hung up !! Ended up with Axa for €315. Cornmarket/Adelaide were €317, Principal €420. I'm 58 with two bikes and full NCB.

Re: Bike Insurance in Ireland -How much do you pay?

First insurance both Carole Nash and principle quoted the same at 236tpft Nash with the lower excess at 100 so went with them, didn't even other haggling on fully comp but principle offered 350 on it, delighted with that result in first policy and provisional licence

Re: Bike Insurance in Ireland -How much do you pay?

Wow, I am currently paying 350 euro (third party + theft) for a 00 bandit 1200 with Liberty. Didnt do any shopping at all plainly because I thought there werent any others out there that would insure a bike... god I was wrong.

I am flying over to the UK on wednesday to pick up my "new" BMW K1300R, quote from Liberty was 630 euro fully comp... I think I am gonna do some shopping this week before transferring policies.

I might leave my bandit insured for the remainder of the month and then cancel and get the BMW insured with someone else... I have 8 years no claim bonus, 42 (i think), 24 years full irish driver license, if price difference is going to be so great it is def worth it!

I'm 34 years old and have been driving bikes for the last 18 years. I would also buy a 500cc or 600cc irish bike.

The only way to find out how much insurance will cost is to phone them all up.
