That's the way it is. They don't give a fuck if you're from outer Mongolia. Because unless it was a trade deal they'd still have to honour the warranty if the bike shat itself in 6 months time.
And all this "what's your best price for cash" nonsense is comical.

Re: Negotiating with UK dealers

Who wouldn't like a good haggle! But I kinda like the simplicity of no-haggling thing going on with the UK dealers - at least we know the price advertised is the price, so it's easier to compare used bike deals - unlike here, asking prices are all over the place and 10k ONO could mean anything from 6k to €9800 (and never 10k).

Lads don't realise they don't want cash because it costs them money to go to the bank with cash.

Does anyone apart from drug dealers even use cash these days? Yeah, I know lots do, but bike dealers don't want to be fucking about with cash, especially since we now have these wonderful things called bank transfers. And it's even worse if the eejit on the phone is asking a private seller "What's your best cash price?" What the fuck else are they going to pay with, Rancheros?

Re: Negotiating with UK dealers

You have to atleast try to haggle! Plenty of dealers in the UK and it's like anything, if you don't ask you won't get.

People seem to get fierce offended these days if someone dares makes to make low offer with the aim of hopefully meet somewhere in the middle. It's all part of it.

Do people still use any of the first 3? And would anyone be stupid enough to accept them if they did?
And since when could a private seller accept credit card payments?

That's because only complete cunts make lowball offers, and most people don't have time to be entertaining complete cunts.

No, I go to view the bike, and if it's worth the asking price, I pay it.

That's the good thing about dealing with UK sellers, and the reason UK sellers won't budge much on the price, because they know what the bike is worth, and advertise it at that price, and they don't lie about the condition. The problem here is the vast majority of sellers lie about the condition of the bike. You go to buy a minter, and it's a ball of shite when you get there. That's the norm here, and rare as fuck in the UK.
