Re: DEATH DRIVER on the WICKLOW GAP EARLIER

ah guys, that is my friend Uwe you are referring to.
We still don't know what caused the accident, the police only gives info to his wife who I have tried to support during this hard time.
She told me the inquest can take over a year. But the skid marks on the road for about 20 steps are fairly straight then no mark for a couple of steps, then the bar and foot peg scratches. We do think he had to break which led to locking the wheel because of something coming up on the road. But i do prefer to think it was an animal and not a crazy cager....

Re: DEATH DRIVER on the WICKLOW GAP EARLIER

Hi all, just saw this topic on FB through bikers 4 life.
Myself and 2 friends were out last Sat up the gap and after the resurfaced area of the gap heading for Hollywood came across the silver Seat Leon looking to make a right turn in front of us with no indication as we came around a bend. Didn't think much of it until I saw this topic.

Did anyone take a few decent pics of the road with marks, before they're gone?

Will upload the footage as soon as I can. Need to trim it down.
I was the 2nd in the group of 3, we were spaced well apart about 200yards from each other as we got back onto good tarmac. You can see the Leon going to make the turn with the wheels pointing to the right but as I got closer and probably saw the gopro on the top of my helmet straightened out. He didn't cross the line so nothing really incriminating.

I live right beside it, heading out now to see if the prick is about. Can we agree from footage if it is a 2010 or 2011 seat Leon? If it's local he possibly has a pain in the hole since the fast & loud lads came through the area.

There used to be an old lad who'd stand outside that house, he'd always give a wave when I passed by.
The car might just have been turning there, mightn't necessarily live there.

Lads I can confirm as of late last night this lad is not on the road, can't say too much but he has been admitted to hospital for help.

Relieved to hear this.

And when he is back out, hopefully they have the sense to revoke his license.

They can't take a chance when lives are at risk.

Reading all the post about his this guy in the Leon and was thinking we didn't meet him as we were out on the gap saturday too. Friend was looking through his go pro footage and low and behold THERE HE IS. Went to turn in front of us with no indication. Didn't think much of it at the time.
