I was still in posession of the bike until 8:20pm last night so It's unlikely. Thanks for the lookout though!

Re: Stolen Bike Thread

That vfr is very unusual never seen one like it, should be easy to spot. For what its worth I used to know a lad who had a vfr400 stolen but got it back 5 months later with almost no damage after they used it in a robbery. I will keep an eye out around town and hope whoever stole it gets mickey cancer.

The thought crossed my mind, but I have never met a racer who is not 100% a fellow biker and the last thing they would do is buy a stolen bike.

You should see the racing scene in england so, riddled with robbed yokes
and bits and pieces.
And in fairness, if ya bought a bit on ebay for example, how do ya know it
aint off a robbed yoke.

As you can see from the photo I've made it look quite distinctive with the yellow trim. Dublin bikers would be familiar with this bike as it has my company logo all over it (Tech on Time) and my phone number on it.

Also stolen with the bike is a ZUMO sat-nav which was in the alluminium luggage.

There is some light damage on the right side of the bike where it slid down the road a few months ago.

Extra mods: yellow hand guards, Sat-Nav mount on handlebar, logo on luggage, small wind spoiler on windscreen, extra headlamps, aluminium protection on centre-stand.

is this your's ????

Re: Stolen Bike Thread

Well spotted! Yes it is/was my bike. It was pulled out of the canal 2 weeks ago. Apologies for not posting an update. It was sold to city spares by the insurance company as a salvage job.

The seat has been bent down towards the wheel. I have no idea how that would have happened. You would need have to have allot of time on your hands to get this one on the road again.

Ironically, I crashed and almost wrote-off my Ducati at 70mph just minutes after seeing this wreck. I now have a gaping hole in my knee the size of a poker chip and have gone from 2 bikes to none in the space of a month!

Word to the wise....once you get used to ABS, never go back!
